The villa although so very close to the sea still affords great views of the White Mountains.
Villa Konaki has three bedrooms (2 double and 1 twin). There is one double room on the ground floor next to the Shower/WC. The other two bedrooms are on the first floor and are served by the main bathroom at the top of the stairs. All bedrooms are beautifully finished and have the benefit of built in wardrobes for additional store space of your holiday clothes. All woodwork is in rosewood colour and all bedrooms are air conditioned. Double glazed and Shutters to all doors and windows.
On the first floor is a fully tiled bathroom with bath, shower, WC and hand basin. On the ground floor there is a shower room with walk in shower, WC and hand basin.
The fitted kitchen houses a host of electrical appliances – full sized oven, microwave and ample crockery and cutlery for up to 8 persons. There is sufficient space around the dining table for even the largest of families. There is a washing machine situated under the stairs.
The living area, complete with TV, DVD and CD player has the benefit of 2 Double sized futon settees for additional sleeping (extra bedding and towels will be provided should you require to use these futons)
The property is fully air conditioned throughout and the cost for the air conditioning and the use of the Swimming Pool is included in the weekly rental rates.
Outside, the circular Swimming Pool is in sunlight for most of the day and the late afternoon. There are plenty of sun loungers and furniture for those wishing to dine outside during the balmy evenings for which Crete is well known. There is parking at the front of the property for three cars.
The small road to the front of the villa leads directly to the centre of the seafront area and is a walk of no more than 3–4 minutes, flat walking too!
This property makes an ideal base for those wishing to explore all the lovely beaches, villages and mountains in this part of Western Crete. The ancient city of Chania (Xania) is only 20 kms away.

Local activities in and around Almirida, Crete
My villa is very close to the beach, where you can surf and engage in many water sports. The shallow waters make it an ideal beach for families. There are many shops, a few supermarkets and plenty of great, beachside Tavernas and Restaurants, so you can relax as they are all just a short walk away.
Mountain bikes can be hired and there is also a small taxi rank. There is a bus service to Kalives and Chania.
Almyrida is only a short drive away from Chania - once the Island capital. Its famous Venetian harbour, quayside Bars and Restaurants and shops are well worth a visit.
Crete has everything you want from an Island, Soaring snow capped mountains, Europe's deepest Gorge (for walking and exploring) Minoan Palaces and traditional villages set next to a clear deep blue sea with Tavernas serving freshly caught fish next to golden beaches, Whilst exploring the Island you are never far away from the White Mountains (Lefka Ori) which appear with snow covered caps - even in the summer months. The former city state of Aptera (large archaeological dig) near Kalives is not yet on the tourist route and so can be investigated in relative peace.
One of the most striking aspects of the Island is its people. Crete is distinguished above all as Europe's earliest civilizations with Minoan living here some 3000 years ago, Cretans, shaped by centuries of struggle against oppression are as rugged as the mountains, fiercely independent but passionately friendly.
