A charming detached villa very well maintained by the owners, in a secluded position situated just 5 minutes drive from Begur and between 5 and 10 minutes drive to the superb sandy beach at Sa Riera with its choice of waterfront restaurants and shops.
Gated steps lead to the villa which is on one level.
A pretty living-dining room, comfortably furnished with a sofabed for an extra person. Superb views from the curved windows. There is a fitted kitchen with oven, hob, and dishwasher. A utility room houses the washing machine and fridge/freezer.
There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin each with fitted wardrobes. The main bedroom has a full bathroom ensuite with bath/shower over, basin, w.c. and bidet. There is also a shower room/w.c.
Facilities - Satellite TV [freeview]. CD player. Oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, open fire, airconditioning in the main living area, built-in barbecue, sunbeds, garden furniture.
Cot hire can be arranged as available.
Casa Erica is well presented throughout and is surrounded by mature gardens. A large swimming pool with Roman steps and lawned surround creates a very private area with sunbeds and garden furniture. At the side of the house convenient to the kitchen there is a built in bbq. A large terrace leads from the living room with direct sea views and views of Begur and the castle.

The villa accommodation is all on one level, however there are steps up to the front door. The garden is enclosed.
Local activities in and around Begur, Costa Brava/Catalonia
*Tennis and horseriding- 10 mins drive. *Beach activities, snorkelling, diving- 10min drive.
*The beaches in this region are superb. All sandy with blue flags and mostly a shallow entrance making it safe for little ones. There is rarely overcrowding as there is such a choice of beaches and some are relatively unknown by tourists. This area attracts many spaniards from Barcelona and other parts of Spain, many of whom have holiday homes here.
*Cycling- bykes can be hired in Palafrugell *Go-karting for kids and adults-10mins drive. *Water park- 20mins drive. *Zoo- 10mins drive
*Golf- many golf courses within 10-20 mins drive. The house manual gives details of all the courses in the local vicinity.
*Sailing- 10mins drive. There is a sailing club at Sa Riera and kayaks and pedallos for hire. Kayaks also at Calella.
*Walking- this is wonderful walking country, especially out of season when it is not so hot. The tourist office has a map showing popular walks.
*Skiing- within 3 hours you can be on the slopes in Andorra.
*Cultural activities- all over the region: Figueres- Dali's museum- 40 mins drive Medieval towns- 15-20 mins drive- Peratallada- a must to visit.
*Restaurants- too numerous to mention. Begur has a very good choice as do the coastal villages. The house manual has previous guests' comments on local restaurants.
*Food- excellent speciality shops in Begur for fish and meat plus very good supermarkets.
*Shops- an interesting selection of very good shops selling clothes, jewellery, etc.
*Night life- plenty if you want it but there is not a string of discos here. Mainly late night cellar bars with music, some with dancing. There is a club in Begur and one just outside, not far from the villa but well away from everything and everyone! The main square has entertainment in the high season with a mixture of traditional and modern music and dancing. Wonderful to just sit and watch!
Casa Erica is in Es Valls, between Begur and Sa Riera beach. Explicit directions will be given prior to your holiday. A local agent will take you to the villa from their office in Begur.
