Las Olas is a delightful, single storey, two-bedroom house. It is superbly situated on the Galera Beach in Corralejo with magnificent sea-views and direct access to the beach of fine, white sand. There is a large selection of shops and restaurants close by.
The stylishly furnished lounge has two leather settees (a three seater and a two seater), satellite TV, DVD player and a mini-system with Cd player and tuner. The lounge is divided from the kitchen by a breakfast bar. The kitchen is equipped with a four-ring ceramic hob, full oven, microwave cooker, 6' fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, electric kettle and toaster.
The master bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobes and sea-views. The second bedroom has twin beds and fitted wardrobes. There is also a wall safe. Las Olas now has a climate control unit in each bedroom. These provide air conditioning as well as heat on cooler days in winter.
The bathroom has a bath with shower, toilet and hand washbasin.
The outside dining terrace, with a table and four chairs, overlooks the Canarian-style garden with cacti, mature trees and panoramic views across the bay of Corralejo. At the bottom of the garden there is a wall with ornamental railings and a private gate that allows you to step directly onto the beach.
There is a small sunbathing terrace with four sunloungers, an outside shower and a barbecue area with built-in barbecue and a table and four chairs.

Not specially adapted for wheelchair use but the house is single storey and the plot on which it stands is level.
Local activities in and around Corralejo, Fuerteventura
Corralejo, once a fishing village, has seen a tremendous amount of development in the last few years and is now the island's main resort with a large selection of shops, bars and restaurants.
In spite of its growth, it has managed to retain a village atmosphere with a main street colourful with flowers, an attractive town square and a largely traffic-free area, bordering the sea, where you can have a drink or a meal and admire the views across the bay.
There is no shortage of places to eat including Spanish, Mexican, Italian, Chinese and Indian restaurants. Some offer typical Canarian dishes, often prepared with fish caught that day. Night life is generally low-key with four discos, a selection of bars as well as free entertainment in the main square on most evenings (including flamenco, Canarian dancing and live music).
Activities (other than sunbathing and swimming!) include windsurfing, scuba diving (there are schools and hire centres in town) and game fishing. Jet-skiing is popular and mountain bikes are also available for hire. A recently opened water park is likely to become a major attraction for young and old alike.
Corralejo has two sandy beaches, the Galera beach and a smaller one near the town pier. A little more than a mile-and-a-half to the south are the "Grandes Playas", nearly seven miles of uninterrupted, fine, white sand and spectacular sand-dunes - beaches just don't get any better than this! These are within easy walking distance of Casa Tortuga. Taxis are readily available and there is a bus station in Corralejo with regular services to other parts of the island.
