A beautiull pine lodge but with all the home comforts. The lodge is privately owned and is situated in unspoilt surroundings. The lodge is in an elevated position and is not overlooked which offers both privacy and lovely views across Troutbeck valley.
Higher Lodge is situated in Limefitt Park in the beautifull Troutbeck Valley. Troutbeck is one of Lakelands most beautifull valleys capturing the very essence of the Lake District National Park - a friendly place of peace and tranquillity set amidst truly breath taking scenery.
Higher Lodge is perfectly placed for a peacefull holiday whilst being close enough to major towns and visitor centres for those who want to explore the Lake District. Windermere, Bowness, and Ambleside contain many interesting shops and are all within a 5 to 10 minute drive, for larger stores the market town of Kendal is only a 20 minute drive.
On site facilities include a Pub, a shop, adventure playground, river pool and direct access to the fells. There are two other pubs within walking distance, the renowned Queens Head a classic 17th century coaching inn and the Mortal Man, both serving excellent meals.

Central Heating, House Linen. Higher Lodge has full central heating, and double glazing ensuring that the lodge is warm and welcoming whatever the weather. there is also an electric fire in the living room.

Seating for 4. The dining area contains a dining table and four chairs.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, DVD, Board Games. There is a combined T.V. / d.v.d. player in the lounge and an assortment of childrens games.
Outside:
Garden, Parking, Garden Furniture. There is a paved seating area to the front of the lodge, and a private garden at the rear surounded by a traditional Lakeland stone wall. The garden is a sun trap in the summer, ideal for sunbathing.

Children Welcome, Not Suitable For Wheelchairs, Suitable For Elderly, Pets Allowed.
With the lodge being in an elevated position there are steps leading up to it. Smoking is not permitted inside the lodge. Pets are allowed as long as they are well behaved.
Local activities in and around Windermere, North
Troutbeck is a perfect base to explore all of the Lakeland towns and villages. On site there is the Haybarn Inn, Games Room, Park Shop, Outdoor Childrens Play Area, River Pool. In the winter months some of these facilities may be closed.
Exit M6 Jct 36. A591 to Windermere. Stay on A591 for 0.5 mile. At mini roundabout turn right A592. Limefitt is 2.5 miles on right.
