A spacious comfortable duplex in a small group of 6 apartments in a commanding position at the top of the Cap San Sebastian close to the lighthouse. The panoramic views over Llafranc and Tamariu offered by the elevated position give a wonderful vista of what must be one of the most beautiful areas of the Mediterranean coastline.
Although a car is essential Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell are only a short drive away. Apartment Churruca offeres generous accommodation in a delightful setting.
Spacious attractive and comfortable sitting-dining room with expansive sea views and access to a private terrace with sea views and garden furniture including table and chairs. A staircase leads down from the living are to a further sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen with hob, oven, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer.
Double with ensuite bathroom and sea view. Bunk bedroom with ensuite shower room. Two twin bedrooms sharing a bathroom and a further twin bedroom with bathroom and adjoining sitting room. The shared kidney shaped pool has a lawned surround and there is ample terrace space around the apartment. Garage with parking for 2 cars plus guest parking at the entrance to the apartments.
Llafranc - This small bay with a crescent beach is one of the gems of the Catalan coast. The people who stay here are second-home owners from Barcelona, or discerning foreigners who want to avoid the mass tourist resorts. A footpath leads around the coast to Calella de Palafrugell, or you can hike over the hills to Tamariu, another perfect cove with tamarisk trees leaning across the sand.
From the lighthouse at Cap de Sant Sebastia, between Llafranc and Tamariu, there are wonderful views over the bay. The pretty village of Llafranc has an excellent sandy beach, a small marina and a tree lined promenade with several excellent restaurants by the waterside. The delights of Calella de Palafrugell close at hand include more waterfront restaurants and shops and several sandy coves.
Begur - 10-15 minutes by car from Llafranc. This charming hillside town with its cobbled streets offers the visitor an excellent choice of Catalan restaurants, tapas bars and shops. The main square has entertainment in the high season and there are many late night bars and a couple of discos. The streets are filled every Wednesday morning with market stalls selling fresh produce, clothes, etc.

Local activities in and around Palafrugell, Costa Brava/Catalonia
Beach activities, snorkelling, diving. The beaches in this region are superb. All sandy with blue flags and mostly a shallow entrance making it safer for young children. There is rarely overcrowding as there is such a choice of beaches and some are relatively unknown by tourists. This area attracts many Spaniards from Barcelona and other parts of Spain, many of whom have holiday homes here.
Go-karting for kids and adults-10-15 mins drive. Tennis and horseriding- 10-15 mins drive. Water park- 20 mins drive. Zoo- 15 mins drive
Golf; Many golf courses within 10-20 mins drive. The house manual gives details of all the courses in the local vicinity.
Sailing- 10 mins drive. There is a sailing club at Sa Riera and kayaks and pedallos for hire. Kayaks also at Calella.
Cultural activities- all over the region: Figueres- Dali's museum- 40 mins drive, Medieval towns- 15-20 mins drive- Peratallada- a must to visit.
Restaurants - too numerous to mention. Llafranc has a very good choice as do the other coastal villages. Begur has the best choice of restaurants.
Shops- an interesting selection of very good shops selling clothes, jewellery, etc.
Food- excellent speciality shops in Begur for fish and meat plus very good supermarkets.
Cycling- bykes can be hired in Palafrugell
Walking- this is wonderful walking country, especially out of season when it is not so hot. The tourist office has a map showing popular walks.
Skiing- within 3 hours you can be on the slopes in Andorra.
Night life- plenty if you want it but there is not a string of discos here. Mainly late night cellar bars with music, some with dancing.
Travelling through Llafranc take the sign for El Far and the apartment can be found here, just a couple of minutes drive from Llafranc centre. Exlplicit directions will be given prior to your holiday
