Tennis on site. Golf course 5 mins away. The port of Mazarron has many bars and restaurants. There are numerous beaches. Superb Spanish dining. There are also eateries for those who prefer english cuisine although the area retains it's spanish-ness!
There are lots of local markets for the veritable bargain!
Scuba Diving is in Isla Plana, which is a lovely area with beaches frequented by the Spanish families.
The historic Town of Cartagena is 20 mins away. There is great shopping in Murcia itself. The train goes from Totana train station (10mins) and is a sleepy little station. Well worth the visit.
The drive down to Almeria is very interesting and fun.
Of course, Granada is only a 3 hour drive away. As is Sierra Nevada for the skiers!
