Set in the secluded Normandy countryside, Le Studio du Peintre offers the advantage of being very accessible to both the Normandy coast (Deauville, Trouville & Honfleur) and the main travel routes from Le Havre ,Caen, Rouen & Paris whilst avoiding the hustle and bustle of this much sought after area.
Attached to a small timbered cottage, the Studio has it’s own private patio area and is surrounded by a charming walled garden. It faces peaceful green fields and woodlands, providing hours of quiet walking and exploring.
The Studio comprises a main comfortably large living area, a kitchenette and a large shower room. It has been totally renovated to provide a luminous, peaceful and comfortable space for its visitors. Ideal for a young couple.
Although the studio has it's own fully appointed kitchenette, it is possible to have a “chambre d’hôte” option for a small extra fee, which includes a full French breakfast with delicious fresh croissants, baguette and homemade jams.
Situated in the heart of Impressionist Normandy, Le Studio du Peintre is less than 2km from Honfleur (a 5min. car ride, or a 1/2 hour walk). Well known for it’s outstanding beauty, the historical port of Honfleur has always attracted artistes, writers and musicians. It's inspiring light lead to become world renowned for being one of the favourite locations for Impressionist painters: Monet, Jongkind, Boudin, Alexandre Dubourg and Corot to name a few all flocked to paint the unusual landscape and the winding streets as well as the port itself. Honfleur also offers day trips out to sea or along the banks of the Seine.
Less than 2 hours from Paris and 15min from the famous Deauville horse races it is also nears the D day beaches. It also provides unexpected cultural attractions such as the Russian film festival and the August Jazz festival.
For those who prefera quiet stroll, the Studio du Peintre is situated on one of the many foot paths to be found in Normandy. With rolling hills that go down to the sea the area offers a wealth of unspoilt countryside for the nature lover: Bird sanctuaries, marsh lands, wild Rhododendrons and wild orchids included!
Honfleur is also with in reach of the Mt.St. Michel, Giverny, and Cabourg. Honfleur also provides a faboulous array of restaurants, situated mostly around the port itself. A wonderful way to enjoy this beautiful medival port.

1 Double Bedroom. The main living space is a sitting room/ bedroom with avery comfortable bed settee (clic-clac) which converts as quickly into a bed as it's name indicates!

1 Shower. the shower room is very spacious and light and has it's own heating. All fittings are new.

Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Iron. There is also a mini oven, a coffee machine, a kettle and a toaster. Plates, bowls, mixing bowls, pots and pans, cuttlery, glasses etc are provided. Please ask for details.
General:
Central Heating. Bed linen and towels can be provided for a small extra fee (15€), but are not included in the price.

Seating for 3. The studio is conceived for 2 people originally, but can fit 3.

Local activities in and around Honfleur, Normandy
Honfleur is reputed for it's many art galleries and art studios. Art courses can be provided by the owner, please ask for details. Night life is usually busy with an amazing choise of restaurants. There's also casinos in both Deauville and Trouville. House back riding is a favorit in this part of normandy and there is a horse back riding center 3 minutes frome the studio.
