Cortijo Paraiso is a beautiful detached country villa, with its own private pool, built and equipped to a high standard. The property is set in an area of 6000m2 with a wonderful tropical garden, olives and fruit trees abound. Cortijo Paraiso is ideally positioned, close to villages with shops/restaurants, beaches and a place where you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding Sierra Tejeda, excellent for walking, climbing, horse riding, or a BBQ at Alcazabar in the forest where you can watch birds and wild goats etc.

You enter the villa through a covered porch/terrace from where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets over the valley.
The villa consists of: a spacious lounge with open fire and dining area, a large fully fitted kitchen, with gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, three good size double bedrooms, one with air con, the others with ceiling fans, two bathrooms, one with full size bath, one with walk in shower. Satellite TV. BBQ area. Swimming pool (6m x 3.5m). Double glazed windows with fitted mosquito nets and shutters, central heating for out of season holidays.
Within walking distance of the villa – or 5 minutes drive – there is a typical Spanish village or 'pueblo blanco', Alcaucin. This old, picturesque, white washed village with narrow cobbled streets, has a natural spring, bullring, bakery, post office, grocery store, butcher and a few restaurants and bars. There’s also a large swimming pool, play area and basketball court.
The nearest beaches of Torre del Mar and Velez Malaga (a Moorish town with an old castle) are just 15 minutes drive away. They are lively places with excellent facilities – a shopping mall, banks, cinema, bars, good restaurants, waterpark etc. Private coves can be found further along the coast.
Good skiing and snow boarding are just two hours drive away in the Sierra Nevada – the most southerly ski centre in Europe.
The ancient cities of Granada with the Alhambra Palace, Malaga, home to the Museo Picasso, Ronda, with its spectacular gorge, Alhama de Granada with its natural hot springs, and wonderful Sevilla, are all within reach for a day excursion. There are two golf courses just 25 minutes away.
The area enjoys one of the best climates in Europe and is certainly well worth a visit.

There are two mountain bikes for your use at the villa. Additional bikes can be hired nearby as well as quad bikes where you can have fun exploring the mountains.

Rental Notes: A local English couple caretake the property and live closeby. They will meet you personally when you arrive at the villa, explain how things work and are always available in case of need.
The villa can be accessed at 2pm on the day of arrival and you will need to vacate by 10am on the day of depature. You will be given the caretakers number with your final information for the villa and will be asked to contact them after you've collected your hire car to let them know you've arrived.
The villa will be cleaned on departure. All bed linen and towels are supplied.
