Set in ancient olive groves for a relaxing and peaceful holiday Villa Ariadne offers luxury and comfort. The house is light and airy and all rooms are double aspect so that you can enjoy the lovely views. The Villa has 3 balconies and a large verandah.
There is a large 10m by 4.5m pool for all the family to enjoy, outdoor pool shower, a hot tub jacuzzi, mature gardens with palm and olive trees, shrubs and flowers, patios, shaded area and electric gated entrance to the property. Close by are beaches with restaurants, coffee shops and bars for your enjoyment.
Villa Ariadne is a luxury detached villa. All balconies have stunning views of the White Mountains and the open countryside. The house is very comfortable with full airconditioning included in the price. The gardens carport and pool are on the same level around the house.
The open plan lounge and kitchen are upstairs with two balconies. Also there is one double bedroom with fully fitted wardrobes, vanity mirror and dressing table, stylish voiles and patio doors to own balcony also large shower room upstairs. The twin bedrooms are downstairs and have a large terrace/ balcony and large bathroom. This arrangement is ideal for families or couples sharing who require some privacy.
The road outside the villa is a quiet one and leads to Gavalohori Square in 7 minutes by foot. There is a large 4.5 by 10 metre pool for all the family to enjoy -roman steps for easy access. Pool shower, large covered area, open patio and well planted gardens, sunbeds and umbrellas and BBQ. A Jacuzzi Hot tub is also available subject to health and safety conditions of use.
FREE welcome basket plus loo rolls, tissues and liquid hand soap included. Safety deposit box. The owners live in the adjacent villa: the houses are mirror imaged and do not overlook each other. There are no immediate neighbours to overlook the villa or the pool. Guests have exclusive use of the pool during their holiday and are welcome to use all the gardens and seating areas.
The owners are on hand to help with any queries you may have. There is large covered carport to keep your car cool in the summer.

Local activities in and around Gavalohori, Crete
The backdrop of the White Mountains the olive groves and hilltop village of Douliana provide the wonderful scenery.
Gavalohori has 3 tavernas,a gift shop,the womens lace cooperative, small supermarkets and a bakery and it is a lovely traditional Greek village with friendly people. Watersports are available at Almirida beach. Scuba diving in Chania. Horseriding in Georgeopoli. There are many walks in the area to enjoy plus plenty of birds.
The sandy beaches at Almirida and Kalives are nearby and have all facilities tavernas coffee bars, beach bars supermarkets, chemists. Nightlife can be found in Almerida with its numerous bars, Greek tavernas and cafes.
Enjoy Chania with its Venetian Harbour and old side streets for a coffee or meal or a boat trip. There are museums, a superb indoor market and many shops to browse in. A beautiful city with a great buzz and numerous coffee shops to sit and watch the world go by.
The south of the island is only 30 kms away and you can enjoy the wonderful views of the mountains and have a relaxing lunch overlooking the Askifoo Plateau on the way there.
Gavalochori is a 35 minute drive approx from Chania airport or 2 hours from Heraklion
