Set in the beautiful & up-market valley of Cortijo Grande, probably the most beautiful spot in Andalusia, the Bella Vista with its' fantastic views from the huge terrace and the very private pool offers exceptional features for wonderful holidays. The location overlooks the first fairway of the golf course as well as being only 15 minutes from the ancient and fascinating Moorish village of Mojacar on it's hill, and the long sandy beaches below.
Bars and restaurants abound both in the valley as well as in neighbouring communities such as Cabrera, Turre, Mojacar, Garrucha and Vera. Further afield there are many places to visit including Granada with the famous Alhambra just a couple of hours or so distant.
There is plenty of golf in the area, both at the Cortijo Grande course just a few metres away and at various other courses within easy distance. The beaches offer all the usual summer facilities, including some very good beach bars for impromptu meals after sunbathing.

The Bella Vista is a charming rose-tinted villa set among mature trees and in a wonderful and very private position with sensational views of the mountains and countryside as well as of the golf course just a few metres away. The villa is built on 2 floors with the living accommodation upstairs and the bedrooms below. There are 4 bedrooms accommodating a potential total of 8 people, and 2 bathrooms with tub and shower, one en suite to the master bedroom. 3 of the bedrooms open out onto the wonderful views and onto a path leading to the pool a few paces away. These 3 bedrooms have airconditioning while the fourth bedroom has effective fans for summer cooling.
The upstairs living area comprises a comfortable and well furnished living room, a dining room and the kitchen. Both living room and dining room open out onto the terrace with the fabulous views, while the living room and kitchen also open out onto the rear patio with a further sitting out area as well as the barbecue.
Externally the main features are two: the terrace and the pool. The terrace adjacent to the living and dining rooms is huge, stretching the full length of the villa and beyond. It is perfect for sitting with a drink admiring the views, or for entertaining and partying. At one end of the terrace is a shaded area used for al fresco summer lunches. The pool was added recently and is very attractive as well as being private and secluded. It is surrounded by a lovely wall of rose-tinted boulders.
The villa is very well equipped to offer you a stress-free holiday. Near a wide variety of bars and restaurants in the valley itself and in neighbouring communities, there is much to do and enjoy. Apart from beaches and golf, the area is ideal for walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, tennis, etc. The province of Almeria has more sunshine than any other region in Europe. It is a healthy dry climate much appreciated by those who live here.

Local activities in and around Mojacar, Almeria
While the principal attractions of the area are the beaches and the wide range of golf courses, the wild beauty of the area encourages many activities. The Cabrera mountains and the lovely surrounding area, in particular Cortijo Grande itself, are ideal for walking and cycling, while the local area offers riding, tennis, petanque, water sports, fishing etc. Cortijo Grande is ideal for golf as the first tee is only a short walk from the villa. There are several other courses within a short drive.
Local communities include neighbouring Turre and Cabrera, while a little further away are Mojacar, Mojacar Playa, Garrucha and Vera. There are lively weekly markets in most of these places and the area abounds with good restaurants, from basic and inexpensive to sophisticated locales with international cuisine of a high order.
The beaches are well kept and there is none of the intense commercial exploitation to be found on other Costas. They are friendly low-key places, ideal for families, and usually served by a chiringuita (beach bar) or two, serving cold drinks and often excellent food.
Spectator sports are also available in season. We have 2 Primera Liga football teams within 1-2 hours drive,and for those who wish to experience traditional bull fights, there are always local events in the season. Within reasonable distances are the historic city of Granada, seat of Andalusia's Moorish past, where the Alhambra is a wonder to be seen. Nearer, is Mini Hollywood, wonderful fun for the family with it's staged gunfights etc. Mini Hollywood reflects the fairly recent past when many Spaghetti Westerns were shot in the area, as well as parts of the film Lawrence of Arabia. In Cortijo Grande itself, just a few years ago, much of the film Raiders of the Lost Ark was made, with Sean Connery etc.
Unless you drive from the UK, you will arrive at either Almeria, Murcia or Alicante airports. Take the E15 motorway to exit 520 then the local road direction Turre. We will arrange to meet you.
