Carmel is a detched house in a quiet position close to the historic Hesketh Crescent in Torquay. This desirable location is excellent for the Blue Flag Meadfoot Beach, being only a couple of hundred yards away. St. Marks Road offers a peaceful setting for all guests despite its proximity to the beach.
The property also enjoys a leafy outlook to the rear with views down towards the beach and Hesketh Crescent. The town centre and harbour are a 5 minute drive away, while there is also a cliffside path leading around the headland to the harbour enjoying sweeping sea views.
Living Information: Reverse level house with the living quarters upstairs from where entrance is gained. Upstairs cloakroom. A 3 piece sofa with 2 wicker chairs and a collection of occasional furniture. Entertainment is provided by a TV and hi-fi. 2 double patio doors lead off to sun room running down the side of the living room. Spiral staircase leading down to the bedrooms.
Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine, full size American style fridge freezer, gas hob with double oven and microwave.
Dining: Large oval dining table with 6 chairs. Double patio doors.
Sleeping Information: Very spacious and features a dressing area and luxury en-suite bathroom. Double bed with 2 bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers, TV and occasional chair. Dressing area has a number of built-in wardrobes and a dressing table with stool.
Bedroom Two: Pine double bed with with bedside table, double wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
Bedroom Three: 2 single beds, a bedside cabinet and a chest of drawers. Further hanging space in built-in wardrobes on the landing.
Bathroom: Features a bath, corner shower, w.c. and wash basin with mirror, shaver point and cabinet.
En-suite to Master Bedroom: Features a corner jacuzzi bath, corner shower, w.c. and glass wash basin with mirror over, cabinet and a heated towel rail.
Outside Information: Full width front patio with a table and six chairs. A wide range of flora set in an attractive peaceful garden. A decking area. The patio has room for one car and on-street parking for further cars.

The heart of the town is the harbour which is lined with cafes, bars and restaurants; a great place to watch the world go by. From here, take a pleasant stroll along the marina with the area’s trademark palm trees, or hop on a boat for a cruise across the bay or round to Dartmouth. The Living Coasts, The Princess Theatre and Pavilion shops are also located here. Torquay is rich in Victorian architecture and identity as the country’s first ‘resort’.
Torquay is host to many more attractions, including Babbacombe Model Village, Kents Cavern, Torquay Museum. Or take a trip back through time to Cockington Village where thatched roofs prevail and watch a blacksmith working in the 14th Century forge.
Those looking for a beach will not be disappointed either. Torquay is the ‘sandcastle capital of the UK’ offering the ideal mix of sand and water, according to research conducted by Bournemouth University.
