Set in 3500 sq.m. of mature grounds on the top of Funchal Ridge with panoramic views of the Monchique Mountians and across to Alvor Bay. There is a large heated pool 12m x 5m with pool lights for those who enjoy a midnight dip. Next to the pool is a covered BBQ kitchen area for al fresco dining and steps lead up to the large roof terrace with its spectacular views and is often used by those who prefer a more natural approach to sunbathing!

Set in an environment of beautifully mature trees including olive, almond, palm and cork oaks as well as other flora and fauna, Casa Funchal is an ideal group holiday villa which oozes an atmosphere of rest and relaxation.

The beautiful farmhouse style kitchen with pine units and marble surfaces, is equipped with all the modern amenities including oven, gas stove, large fridge and freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Situated just next to the open plan dining and lounge areas with Hi-Fi and Sky television, families can escape the baking midday sun and cool off for lunch and dinner.
The Villa is all on ground level with a total area of 260 sq. Mt. With the occasional steps to the different levels, it is full of charm and character with it's natural clay floor tiles and pine ceilings and centered around the open plan kitchen area with archways through to the dining area and the cosy lounge. The living area is around 80 sq. Mt. And gives ample space for large family's / groups.
Outside -You will find the 12 x 5 metre heated swimming pool. With 8 large solar panels hidden out of view, the average summer temperature of the water is between 26 - 32 degrees c and in mid-season, a slightly cooler average of 24- 28 degrees. Normally when using the pool cover it is warm enough to swim from mid March until the end of October or longer. Steps leading into the pool are ideal for children and toddlers who like to paddle. Once you get past the paddling area, the pool is approximately 1 metre at the shallow end, gradually sloping to 2 metres at the deep end. There are underwater lights for those who like a midnight dip before bed.

Casa Funchal is located approximately 4 km from the historic town of Lagos which was capital of the Algarve from 1578 until 1756 leaving a legacy of stunning Churches and winding streets, not to mention the original city walls and harbour. A more recent additions is the town's stunning modern marina where the rich and famous keep their yachts for those summer adventures and local fishermen cast off to catch sardines and other local fish which can be sampled in Lagos' many fantastic restaurants. Lagos is also home to many shops and boutiques which you'll take at least a day to get through.
The old fish market has been restored in traditional fashion but now includes all modern hygiene standards and provides high quality fresh fish ,fruit & veg and meat along with the home made piri piri.sweets & Almond cakes Lagos has a myriad of cafés and restaurants spilling onto the street giving you a fantastic choice of cuisine . Most people like to wander the streets after dinner and browse at the local street craft stalls or to watch the street theatre and jugglers or sit and have a cool cocktail and be entertained by busker's.
There are many beaches and coves in and around Lagos where the waters are gentle and calmer than the west coastand you will always find a beach restaurant to cater for those hungry moments after a swim ,and with good access to the beach and plenty of parking there is never to far to walk.
