Villa Belica makes a fantastic base from which to explore Slovenia’s enchanting Lakes Region. A traditional style Slovenian chalet with delightful terrace and garden, enclosed by forest on one side and offering a panoramic view of Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain on the other, the villa is situated on the edge of the tranquil village of Bohinj Polje just a few minutes drive or a short walk via a scenic forest path to the majestic Lake Bohinj, a serene lake surrounded by towering peaks and pristine forests.
The area offers a huge range of outdoor activities all year round both on and around the Lake - from fly-fishing to mountain biking, from kayaking to mountain walking not to mention excellent on and off piste skiing at the highly respected resort of Vogel.
The villa has three bedrooms, two large reception rooms, balcony, fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. Everything has been recently renovated and newly equipped to the highest standards with flat screen TV / DVD player and outdoor seating and barbeque area among its many features.
Bohinj Polje is a quiet village of mountain chalets just a few minutes drive from Lake Bohinj, which many consider to be the most beautiful part of a stunningly beautiful country. Several paths lead from the village into the surrounding hills and forests and down to the Lake. Fly-fishing licenses can be obtained for the Lake and the Sava Bohinjka river which runs from it.
The Sava Bohinjka offers scope for kayaking and rafting expeditions whilst the Lake itself offers the opportunity for more leisurely boating, both sailing and rowing, as well as swimming and sunbathing in the Summer. The mountains of Lake Bohinj is also one of Slovenia’s best known climbing centres. The ski resort Vogel above Lake Bohinj is one of Slovenia’s best with good infrastructure and a good snow record.
There is also good beginner - intermediate level skiing at Kobla which is just a five minute drive and futher skiing at Soriska Planina circa 20 minutes drive away. In the town of Bohinjska Bistrica just a few minutes from the house is a modern water park offering a range of pool and spa facilities.

The area offers a huge range of outdoor activities all year round both on and around the Lake: On the water: kayaking, canyoning, swimming / sunbathing, sailing, fly-fishing.
In the surrounding area: walking, mountain biking, skiing (3 resorts in proximity including the respected resort of Vogel), paragliding, horseriding.
Waterpark in the local town offering a range of pool & spa facilities. Just 20 minutes drive away is world famous Lake Bled with its picturesque church on an island overlooked by a medieval castle.
