House with 3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 8, Swimming Pool
Situated in the quiet and friendly village of Restabal, surrounded by orange groves and orchards, the house stands on the edge of the village overlooking the Valley of Lecrin and Sierra Nevada National Park. These incredible views can be enjoyed from every room and the two terraces. The perfume of orange blossom, the almond trees in flower, together with the sound of "las acequias" carrying the water to Lake Beznar, all contribute to make this a very special place.
The house is entered through double doors made from ash wood, the same as all the doors and windows in the house. The sitting/dining room is a light room with teak furniture and comfortable armchairs and a sofa, together with a wood burning stove. From the window we can look out on to the Valley with Sierra Nevada in the background. Large french windows lead onto the patio, open to the same views, and with a small pool and fountain. The patio is equipped for dining al fresco and relaxing in the sun.
From the dining-room we go into the kitchen, of traditional design but well equipped, and with views over the patio and the Valley. Leading from the kitchen is a shower/wet room, and next to this a utility room with a door to the street.
On the other side of the kitchen is a double bedroom, with a built in wardrobe, and french doors to the patio. On the first floor, there is a twin bedded room with a built in wardrobe and its own balcony looking out over the patio and the Valley. In the centre of this floor, we have a sitting-room, for television and reading, and with a double sofa bed. This room also has its own balcony over the patio. From here we go into another twin bedded room, with a large built in cupboard, and another balcony. Next to this room is a bathroom with a bath and shower.
From this sitting-room a second flight of stairs leads to the roof terrace, with patio furniture, a barbecue, and spectacular views.
The house has been restored in keeping with the traditional building methods and using traditional materials, where possible, such as the chestnut roof beams from La Alpujarra, the terracotta floor tiles and the handmade bathroom tiles.
A comfortable and attractive base for exploring the Valley and its surroundings.

Local activities in and around Lecrin, Granada/Costa Tropical
Situated on the GR-7 (E-4) the village is ideal as a base for walking, skiing, riding, cycling, golf, fishing, bird watching and botanical excursions. As well as beautiful beaches with watersports on the coast. And fish restaurants for seafood and paellas.
20 minutes to the spa town of Lanjaron, and La Alpuajarra, in the Sierra Nevada National Park, with its small white villages clinging to the mountainside, and where one can take guided treks into the mountains.
In Granada there is, of course La Alhambra , which merits a full day excursion, as well as sightseeing, music, dance, museums, galleries, Arab baths and tapas !
All over the province there are a wealth of local markets, and carboot sales.
The local fiesta days are numerous, lively and enjoyable.
Visits to bodegas (wine cellars)can be made too. Near Loja in Riofrio, there is a quaint place on the river where one can eat delicious trout and buy some of the best caviar in the world.
The village is well situated for day excursions to Almeria, Malaga and Jaen.
