Beau Maison is situated in the heart of the Breton countryside in a small hamlet. Beau Maison is surrounded by farmland and enchanting woodlands. A short drive to beaches. Ideally located to explore historic Brittany by foot, bicycle or car. Lakes, golf, markets, sports facilities and tourist attractions are all within easy reach.
Beau Maison has recently been renovated offering comfortable and spacious family accommodation, whilst maintaining its traditional French country cottage features including original exposed beams, exposed stonework and inviting woodburing stove. The house is surrounded by woodlands offering countryside walks and cycling on your door step. The accommodation comprises of:
Living room – the main living room is warm and inviting. It has a wood burning stove for use during winter months (logs provided) a television, DVD player, VCR & satellite TV. There is a selection of family videos and DVDs available. The living room has 2 large sofa's and is traditionally furnished
Kitchen – a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, fridge/freezer, kettle & microwave. Traditionally furnished with a large oak dining table. (Seats 10 + highchair). French doors lead to the rear garden.
Bathroom – clean and modern bathroom facilities on the 1st floor & groundfloor W/C and utility room.
Bedrooms – 3 double bedrooms are situated on the 1st floor, 2 of which have an additional single bed and make ideal family accommodation. A cot and double airmatress is also available if required. All of bedrooms are carpeted and traditionally furnished. All have front aspect views over the charming hamlet of Couroussaine. The master bedroom has twin French doors with 'Juliet' balconies to enjoy the warm summer evenings.
Garden – sunny garden surrounded with mature oak trees, fruit trees and hedgerows, with stunning views over the adjoining farmland and woodlands. Dining furniture & BBQ available. Bikes are also available for your use including a raleigh bike trailer for up to 2 small children. Tree swing, ***NEW FOR SUMMER 2008 ***10ft trampoline & 10ft round pool*** Parking for several cars is available to the front of the property.

Local activities in and around Ploermel, Brittany
Explore the enchanting woodlands and sunny glades surrounding the hamlet of Couroussaine either on foot or bicycle. There is an abundance of wildlife, including wild boar and rabbits. Hawks; swallows and kestrels can be seen during the summer months. The hamlet is small and quiet. Beau Maison is situated on a 'no through' road, therefore offering a safe enviroment for children to explore, with the woodlands easily accessed to the rear of the house.
Just a 30 minutes stroll (2 minutes by car) will take you to the small village of Guilliers. Here you’ll find everything you need including a Boulangerie, pharmacy, mini supermarket, boucherie, car fuel and post office. Guilliers has several friendly bars and a highly recommended restaurant.
Ploermel is the nearest large town famous for its lake, ‘Lac au Duc’ with water sports, including sailing and water skiing, fishing, lakeside beaches, waterslides and stunning lakeside walks. Overlooking the lake is a 9 hole golf course. Ploermel also offers indoor entertainment such as a 10 pin bowling and cinema.
You can also visit the medieval town of Josselin with its 16th century Chateau & toy museum. Cycle along the Nantes Brest canal or visit its lively Saturday morning market. Just 20 minutes by car.
Cycle or walk along the Voie Vert, a disused rail line. Take in the beautiful scenary as it passes lakes, rivers and picturesque countryside.
Numerous beautiful sandy beaches can be found approx 45 minutes drive away along the Golf of Morbihan.
Numerous family attractions are all close by including a prehistoric dinosaur park, zoos, museums, chateaus and public outdoor heated swimming pool.
