Gran Alacant overlooks the city of Alicante and the Costa Blanca coastline and offers rural convenience, great views and fantastic beaches. Road links are excellent for exploring the region.
Alicante (4th largest city in Spain), is just a 20-minute drive north. The small town resort of Santa Pola is a 15-minute drive south and 40 minutes south is the resort town of Torrevieja.
All facilities are conveniently located within a very short walk and include banks, pharmacy, bars and good restaurants. The nearest supermarket, Max Coop is just two hundred yards down the road.
'CASA ROSA' – This modern ground floor property consists of a very spacious open plan lounge diner with sofa bed and an American style kitchen incorporating microwave and washing machine etc.
Sky TV and VCR with a selection of family videos. A radio/CD player and games console is also provided.
Ceiling fans are fitted to all rooms for air circulation if required.
At the rear of the property there is a walled communal swimming pool, with lifeguard in the summer months for the safety of your children.
Our property will easily accommodate 4 people.
Heaters and blankets are provided for the cooler months.
The Costa Blanca (White Coast) is an ideal choice for the whole family for either a relaxing or active holiday. The region boasts at least 320 sunny days each year with mild winters where the average temperature does not fall below 16°C. The region is shielded from the cold winter winds by mountain ranges. Although Spanish summers are hot, with an average of 12 hours of sunshine each day, the coastal areas enjoy cooling sea breezes. There are many safe, clean, blue flag beaches with clear waters and white sands. The beaches around Alicante are immensely clean, very attractive and stretch for miles along the coast.
Carabasi Beach. Just a 15 minute walk away, is one of the loveliest and safest beaches on the whole of the southern Costa Blanca coastline. Several completely unspoilt kilometres of pale fine sand, backed by dunes. A convenient bus service is available a short walk from the property to the beach. This bus also travels between the local resort of Los Arenales, Alicante or Santa Pola for under 2 Euros per person
A hourly road train service operates in Gran Alacant, travelling between the beach and the G A Centre(shops, bars, restuarants) via the bus stops (5 mins walk). For 1 euro each this is a great way to explore the whole of Gran Alacant getting the most out of your holiday.
Away from the beach, Gran Alacant is surrounded by the Clot de Galvany nature park which is a protected area of natural beauty. With its conservation centre, lagoon and adjacent picnic area. It is a popular destination of locals for barbeques and family gatherings. The lagoon attracts a wide variety of birds from waders to birds of prey.

Santa Pola & Torrevieja salt flats for colonies of wild flamingo.
Cabo De Santa Pola (Santa Pola lighthouse) - Fantastic views of the coast and Isle of Tabarca.
Santa Pola - Less than 10 minutes drive south with its vibrant markets, good sporting facilities, attractive buildings, and park with preserved roman excavations, aquarium, pavement cafes and excellent fish restaurants. From here you can take a short boat trip to the island of Tabarca.
Tabarca - Main island in a small group just off the mainland reached by regular boat crossings. Crystal clear waters, rocky coves, cool breezes and a selection of fish restaurants. Very popular with snorklers and divers.
Alicante - Shopping, including complexes at Puerto Centro & Gran Via which have more than 100 shops and restaurants open all day. Torrevieja - Shopping, inc new out of town Habaneras complex nr Carrefour and outdoor market held every Friday.
Guadalest - Moorish castle town built on a spectacular rock formation high above the Guadalest reservoir, fantastic views and shops selling locally made craft items.
La Marina - For locally made ceramics and large open air swimming pools at camping international ideal for the whole family (small charge per person but worth it)
Fuentes Del Algar, Nr Callosa D'en Sarria - Series of cool crystal clear cascades and pools for bathing.
Polop - Beautiful foothill town with ruined castle, spectacular views. Also Fonts Els Xorros, an ancient fountain with 221 spouts.
Cuevas De Canelobre, Busot. Interior of this limestone cave has highest vault in all Spain.
Other beaches - Los Arenals, Santa Pola, La Marina, Guardamar, Villajoyosa, San Juan, Playa Del Postiguet in Alicante and Javea/Xabia.
Rio Safari (Elche safari): The ideal place to enjoy nature and watch lions, tigers, camels. monkeys and hippos. You can also visit the crocodile farm with over 200 crocs and alligators. Located on the Santa Pola to Elche road.

Rental Notes: Costs include post rental cleaning/linen use. Flights, transfers or holiday insurance are not included. E-mailed booking form sent with reply. Start/End dates are flexible. To secure your booking, an initial deposit of £50.00 per rental week must accompany the booking form. The booking deposit is not refundable in the event of a cancellation by you.
