From its location between the villages of Bilsington and Bonnington, at a high point above the Royal Military Canal, there are outstanding panoramic views to the coast of Kent and the Romney Marsh. Set within its own garden and located at the end of a no through road, Acorn Barn enjoys a high degree of seclusion and privacy.

Acorn Barn is a recently renovated and comfortably furnished holiday home, designed to house two people in great comfort. The calm and spacious appearance is created by a large areas of glass. Wide fold back doors in the living area that open onto a large decked area, allow outstanding views across the countryside towards the Kent coast.
The decoration is in pale contemporary colours, complimented in the main by mellow oak floors, with limestone in the bathroom. The open plan kitchen / living area is a large space comfortably furnished with 2 two-seater sofas, a round oak table with 4 oak dining chairs with views to the garden and beyond, and a wall mounted flat screen television with free view channels.
The kitchen has cream painted wooden units with black granite effect worktops. It is well equipped. The bathroom has of a bath with an ‘Aqualisa’ shower and glass screen, an extractor fan, hand basin with shaver point and wc. There is plentiful supply of hot water and a heated towel rail to dry the bath sheets and hand towels. Toilet rolls and complimentary toiletries are provided.
The delightful bedroom with a floor length window contains a 5ft bed with quality bed linen, bedside lamps and a wardrobe with hangers. The large raised decked area with table and chairs overlooks the views towards the coast. There is a barbeque area provided and a parking area with stone path to main entrance.
The barn has a folder of local tourist information. We also include, playing cards, ‘Scrabble’, a box of dominos, chess board with chess pieces and chequers. Acorn Barn sits in the heart of Gorsedown Farm, an arable and sheep farm on Romney Marsh in Kent. The barn itself is surrounded by farm land.

Acorn Barn sits in the heart of Gorsedown Farm, an arable and sheep farm on Romney Marsh in Kent. The barn itself is surrounded by farm land. We can offer our guests the opportunity to walk and explore the farm and surrounding Romney Marsh. Walking directly from Acorn Barn to the Royal Military Canal, just a field away provides a gentle stroll at the end of the day.
In the heart of the countryside but only a few miles from the Kent coast allows the visitor to enjoy a variety of activities.
Exploring the historic towns of Tenterden, Canterbury, Rye and Sandwich make a delightful day out and with the mainline station to London, Ashford International, just 5 miles away a trip to the capital or even Paris is possible.
There are a great many historic houses and gardens to visit, including Great Dixter, nr Rye and Sissinghurst Castle Garden, designed by writer Vita Sackville-West and her husband Harold Nicolson. Aldington village (2miles) has a village shop selling newspapers and a small off licence. There is a quality family butcher and deli, 'Coopers' selling locally sourced meat. There is a farm shop at Sellindge. Ashford has a variety of supermarkets, a Mcarther Glen Designer Outlet, and a cinema.

Terms A 20% non refundable deposit is taken at booking. The balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to the start of your holiday. Please make careful note of the date payment is due. Bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to commencement of your holiday must be accompanied by the full holiday price.
Cancellations Full charge is made if the cancellation is within 8 weeks of your booked arrival date. The 20% booking deposit is non refundable. All cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by us before any action can be made. We do recommend you take out travel insurance just in case you have to cancel through something unavoidable.
Check-out is by 10.00am on day of departure. An estimated arrival time is kindly requested for all reservations.
