Trenewydd Farm Cottages, awarded a 4 star grade by the Welsh Tourist Board, are set in 8 acres of beautiful rural countryside complete with our own sparkling outdoor heated swimming pool. We are close to the North Pembrokeshire coast, Prescelli Hills, Cardian Bay and the historic market town of Cardigan.
Just 3 miles away is award winning Poppit Sands, which is perfect for children with it’s shallow water, wonderful sands and rock pools. Along this stretch of coastline are many more sandy beaches and coves where seals and dolphins are regularly spotted by our guests.
The area offers a wide variety of scenery and attractions, with opportunities for coastal and inland walking, bird watching, fishing, canoeing, horse-riding, boat trips, outdoor activity centres – to name but a few. In short – there is something for everyone all year round. Enjoy visiting our historic castles and churches, craft centres and the many gardens open to visitors.

A very special romantic cottage for two with a beautifully draped, King-sized, 4-poster bed. Champagne, chocolates, roses or even a massage can be arranged to make your stay that extra bit special! The lounge has the original wooden beams complete with a cottage suite giving a very cosy atmosphere.
The cottage has its very own, private flower garden with a sweet little summer house. There are also sun loungers on the decked area where visitors can relax in the privacy of their own garden.
This cottage is also very popular for families with one child, as the large bedroom comfortably takes an extra single bed if required.
The kitchen is equipped to a very high standard including electric cooker, washer-dryer, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster & a full range of crockery, cookware & cutlery.
A cot and highchair are available on request.
For a holiday of more than one week the cottage will be cleaned and beds changed on a weekly basis.
The bathroom is fitted with electric shower over bath, toilet, heated towel rail and washbasin.
The beautiful heated swimming pool is of more than generous proportions and is sunken into the landscaped gardens adjoining the farmhouse. It is surrounded by a natural stone wall to provide not only ideal swimming conditions but also the perfect suntrap. Weather permitting, this heated outdoor pool is available from May to September. There is also a BBQ area and childrens play areas and pets corner.

Children are very welcome. Well behaved dogs are allowed in one dedicated cottage. One cottage has a ramp to french doors. Three cottages have all rooms on one level. No smoking inside the cottages.
Local activities in and around Cardigan, South & West Wales
There are a number of fantastic beaches close by. Poppit Sands is is a large flat sandy beach backed by sand-dunes rock pools at low tide. It is only 2 miles away & a perfect place for children.
Locally there are plenty of children friendly centres including The Chocolate Factory, Shire Horse Centre, Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park or Cardigan Island Farm Park where seals & dolphins come close to shore or take a boat trip out to sea.
Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and Preseli Mountains for walkers.
Activity Centres close by provide climbing, abseiling, canoeing, kayaking, archery, assault courses, orienteering, quad biking, paintballing even helicopter rides!
There is a whole range of things to do see here for all members of the family, there is an abundance of craft workshops & woollen mills to visit. With cheese and flour still being made in the traditional way locally there is a huge variety of fresh local produce to taste and take home with you as gifts for your relatives and friends.
For sports enthusiasts, the 18 hole golf course & squash courts at Gwbert-on-Sea will provide a challenge. Visitors are welcome.
Fishing (Lake, sea & river) & cycling are also favourites among our guests. Cycles can be hired locally.
Pony trekking & riding lessons are available in Bridell only 4 miles away.
Narrow gauge railways, old gold & silver mines, historic castles and churches are all within a days drive through beautiful unspoilt lanes, where you can enjoy the wildflowers of the hedgerows & magnificent scenery.
Our mild coastal climate combine to make Pembrokeshire an ideal location for many gardens open to the public.
For those less energetic days you can simply sit on the lawn in front of your cottage or relax with a favorite book by our beautiful sparkling swimming pool whilst your children can help feed and cuddle our pets which include Martha the lamb, Blackberry, Fluffy and Roger the rabbits, our chickens and guinea pigs.
