The traditional stone cottage has been carefully restored but has the facilities of modern day living. Relax in comfort whilst watching the world go by or use as a base for exploring the local area.

As you drive down our country lane you know you have come to a special place. All worries and stresses fade away as you look out across the fields and down to Dunmanus Bay. Set in 3 acres Molly Cottage has been lovingly restored to a high standard and offers all the comforts of home.
We live close-by and are on hand, only if needed, to ensure that your stay is memorable. Don't worry we won't interfere unless asked!
The cottage has 1 large, bright, spacious bedroom, a single camp bed, travel cot and sofa bed are available too. We appreciate the difficulty for parents with small children and the amount of items needed, so can provide a high chair, sterilizer, baby bath, bottle warmer, changing mat and baby back carrier, ideal for use when walking.
The living room is warm and inviting with a TV/video, DVD player and CD unit. A large selection of DVD's, Videos, board games and books are also available. The cottage is heated by a wood pellet stove which is remote controlled.
The kitchen is bright and modern with views of the patio area and gardens, looking out to Mount Gabriel.
We don't have a bath, but the shower is large and powerful!
Feel free to wonder around the gardens, meet the chickens, gloat at us working hard in the garden, use the trampoline or just sit and relax on the patio and soak up the atmosphere.
This is an ideal spot for the budding or professional artist, poet or author, as inspiration can be found all around you!

Local activities in and around Schull, South West
Molly Cottage is an ideal location for visiting South West Ireland. The colourful town of Schull with its range of traditional shops, restaurants and bars is but a few minutes drive away. Schull is full of things to do both in Summer and Winter.
The towns of Skibereen and Bantry are both within 30 minutes drive, as is the Mizen Penninsular, Ireland's most South-Westerly point, which is renowned worldwide for the beauty of its rugged landscape and ancient heritage. Stunning beaches, including Barleycove with its golden sand and stretching surf are an absolute must and can be enjoyed whatever the weather. Fishing, diving, boat trips, walks, hikes and bikes are all nearby.
Throughtout the Summer various festivals are held within the area. Art in Schull in July, Sailing regattas in August and Ballydehob music festival are but a few. Full details are available throughout the town and in local publications.

Take N71 to Schull. Continue through Schull and turn right onto L8420 opp. blue farmhouse. Continue for 1 mile until ruin of old school house. Take left turn at green sign and proceed down track.
