Belle Azure is a newly renovated 2 bedroom stone cottage located in the middle of the rustic village of La Jonchere on the south coast of the Vendee. This beautiful and spacious gite is just 10 minutes by car from sandy beaches and ideal for those wishing for plenty of amenities and family fun!
Set adjacent to the beautiful chiming church in La Jonchere this property has the benefit of modern facilities within a traditional French village.
Only approximately, 1 hour from La Rochelle & Nantes & a 3-hour drive from St Malo, Belle Azure makes for the perfect getaway for those wanting a quick, easy trip to sandy beaches and sunshine. The famous Vendée coast - referred to locally as the Côte-de-Lumière (Coast of Light) has fantastic child friendly sandy beaches, stretching along 13km of which 8km face directly south. The beach at La-Tranche-sur-Mer is approved as a "Kids' Station", which means it is a safe environment for children to play in.

Belle Azure has two bedrooms - one double and one twin. The master bedroom has a very comfortable double bed, a large built in wardrobe and double patio doors leading out to the garden area. The twin bedroom has two adults’ size single beds which can easily be made into a large double bed for when couples are sharing. In the twin room you will also find a TV plus DVD player as well as toys and puzzles to keep the little ones entertained.
The beautifully appointed sitting room has a leather convertible sofa bed, an additional 2 seater sofa as well as a 33inc flat screen high definition TV with DVD player and 'game cube' with approximately 30 games, plus FREE internet access. There is also French cable TV for those wishing to practice their French linguistic skills!
The newly appointed kitchen has all the amenities one wishes for when on holiday, a dishwasher, large stainless steel fridge freezer, micro-wave, Ariston cooker, extendable round dinning table for up to 6 guests, plus a washing machine and coffee maker.
The property also has a shower room with a walk in shower, basin and separate WC.
The fully enclosed garden has a new lawn area as well as a decked area surround the rear of the property. There is good quality garden furniture with parasol as well as a BBQ for those wishing to brush up on their cuisine skills!

La Rochelle - Aquarium
Both children and adults will enjoy La Rochelle's wonderful Aquarium, which boasts 10,000 specimens from the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the tropics. With three million litres of water and 64 different aquariums, you are bound to see Nemo!
Marked trails in the forest up to 20ft high give you up to 122 different challenges. You are suspended by safety harnesses and are able to climb, swing, dismount and even slide across the forest. Great area for toddlers too, with themed bouncy castles, ball park, rock climbing, inflatable park, trampolines, swings, slides, ropes and pony rides to name but a few! Excellent day out for the children and for adults and only 5 minutes away, Great fun and highly recommended.

The beach at La-Tranche-sur-Mer (10 minutes away) has a 6-hectare area of water for water sports. The "Cercle Nautique Tranchais" (CNT) offers sailing, windsurfing, kite-surfing and sand-sailing. The area is also superb for boating and surfing enthusiasts
Rental Notes: Change over days are Saturdays however, flexible out of peak season.
50% of the booking fee is due at the time of booking, with the remaining due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
For those booking within 8 weeks of their arrival the full payment becomes due.
We require a £100 security deposit per week, taken at the time of your arrival.
An end of stay clean of 30€ is compulsory and must be paid to the owner upon arrival.
All linen and hand towels are supplied, however, you will need to bring bath and beach towels.
In July and August -Electric and Water is included within the price. However out of Peak Season (all other dates) a supplement of 30euros per week becomes payable to the owner upon departure if heating is required.
