Ferme Jonchery sleeps six/seven in comfort, with a large living room with open fire at its centrepiece. Catch up on your reading, wind down with a CD or English-channel TV, or sit outside on the garden terrace and enjoy a glass of wine.

This French holiday home is perfect for couples sharing or a family, with two double bedrooms, a family bedroom with double bed and day-bed, as well as a sofa bed in the lounge. It has been refurbished in recent years and attractively decorated and furnished.
There is a pleasant, sunny terrace and a good-sized garden with lawn and trees.
The house comprises large living/dining room with oak beams, tile floor and log fire, kitchen, utility with washing machine, bathroom and separate shower room, and three good size bedrooms upstairs.
The modern kitchen is well equipped with cooker, fridge-freezer, dishwasher.
Shopping and restaurants are a fifteen-minute drive away.

Local activities in and around Arnay-le-Duc, Burgundy
Local activities include walking, hose riding, canoeing, boating, and mountain biking, all in the Morvan Regional Park, a beautiful area of hills, woodland and lakes. Open-air swimming at the European Blue Flag lake and beach at Arnay-le-Duc, which also offers tennis, table-tennis, fishing and bike rental. Golf: there is a championship-length golf course within a 25 minute drive (Golf de Chateau de Chailly). Or you could try your hand at archery at Auxerain.
For eating out, Saulieu has a good choice, from the famed Michelin 3-star Bernard Loiseau restaurant, to a friendly little pizza / crepe place opposite the church. Plenty more to choose from in Autun, Arnay-le-Duc or Nolay. Don't forget to call in at the atmospheric Cafe Parisien when you visit Saulieu.
For general shopping, Arnay-le-Duc and Saulieu both have all the basics - food and drink, books and stationery, gifts, clothing, banks, garages, electrical goods, patisserie, and a great cheese shop in Saulieu. More shopping and sightseeing at Dijon and Beaune, about 1 hour away, Autun 35 minutes. Many of the local towns have excellent markets.
Other lovely towns within easy reach include Vezelay, Avallon, Semur-en-Auxois. All of these have some pretty amazing architecture, Beaune the fantastic Hotel de Dieu, Dijon the Musee des Beaux-Arts. Autun boasts a remarkable intact Roman amphitheatre which stages live events in the summer.
The area is most famous for its wine, of course, and a visit to one (or more) of the Caves on the Wine Route between Dijon and Beaune is a must, for tasting with no obligation to buy.

Our terms We ask for a £60 deposit at time of booking (non-refundable if booking cancelled) and the balance six weeks before the start of your holiday.
We also require a separate cheque of £150 as a deposit against possible damage or loss, which we do not bank and which will be destroyed if everything is satisfactory at the end of you stay.
