Les Lecques: This is the coastal village with a huge sandy beach, a promenade (1 km) with bars and restaurants, comprehensive shopping and a variety of restaurants down at the picturesque yachting harbour. 2. St. Cyr Village: A colourful village, almost 2 km from the coast, with shopping, a Sunday market and a square with relaxed bars and restaurants. 3. La Madrague: A sophisticated hamlet in a narrow bay, 2 km east of Les Lecques, with a beach, ideal for young children, and stunning views from the terraces of the fine restaurants.
Cities within easy reach include the sublime Aix-en-Provence (56 km), historic Marseille (35 km) and Avignon (100 km).
There are flights with British Airways and Easyjet to Marseille (about 1 hour) and with Ryanair to Toulon (45 minutes from the house).
The three bedroom maisonette is located between Les Lecques and St. Cyr village in a quiet street with parking, 10 minutes walk from the beaches and fishing harbour of Les Lecques. It is 5 minutes walk from from a supermarket in a shopping area which includes a bank, dry cleaner, newsagent, hairdresser, florist etc. It is 10 minutes walk to the railway station with frequent trains to Marseille, Toulon and Nice. The A50 motorway, with links to Marseille, Lyon, Paris, Italy and Spain, is 5 minutes drive away.

There is a flight of about a dozen steps from the road to the entrance to the maisonette. The only steps inside lead up to the mezzanine / attic, which is an extra storage area.
Local activities in and around Saint Cyr Sur Mer, Cote d'Azur/Provence
The sea at Les Lecques is clean and crystal clear. At the fine sandy beach, the sheltered bay is perfect for fishing, swimming, sailing, windsailing and surfing. The local fitness culture is reflected by the early morning joggers along the promenade and the numerous fitness centres. The rugged coastline lends itself to hiking, while the surrounding countryside is ideal for cycling and horse-riding.
The local coastal and inland scenery is breathtaking, as are the wooded mountains with their medieval floral villages and the meadows and vineyards tumbling down to the sea.
Along the coast to the east are Bandol, famous for its wine, restaurants and yachts, and Sanary, which has a theatre and Italian-style cobbled streets.
To the west are La Ciotat, a bustling town where the first moving pictures were recorded, and Cassis, the exclusive little port, sheltered by the calanques from the winds and by the pine forests from the distant through traffic. The inland hilltop villages of Le Castellet and La Cadiere d'Azur should not be missed.
From Marseille Airport, follow signs to Marseille then Aubagne and Toulon.
From Toulon Airport follw signs to Toulon then Marseille.
From A52 take Exit 10 for St. Cyr.
