Stylish villa - Tranquil, homely, superb views in Estepona
Villa with 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4
Stylish villa, tranquil setting, glorious views -- ideal for golfers and non-golfers alike.
Spacious patio/terrace. Magnificent views across a countryside valley to the sea (southeast) and nearby Sierra Bermeja mountains (northeast). Perfect for outdoor dining, relaxing, sunning. Attractive beaches within minutes' drive.
The villa directly overlooks the 18th fairway of Estepona Golf Course -- a 5 minute drive to Estepona, with its excellent restaurants, street cafes and tapas bars, in and around a vibrant, atmospheric "old town" centre.
It is also a great hub for trips further afield in legendary Andalucia, with all its cultural riches. Within easy reach of picture-postcard, traditional white villages oozing pueblo charm such as Ronda, Casares & Gaucin.
For golfers, the club boasts the best pay-as-you-play/temporary-membership fees in the region, on a course still largely surrounded by remote, rugged countryside.
"In this beautiful house we found the peace, relaxation and tranquility we came in search of" -- Mercedes and Juan (Spain)
"We have had a wonderful time, as usual. It is such a comfortable place to be, we always feel "at home". We love the peace and quiet, the views" -- Anne and Pete (annual, non-golfing visitors, UK) -- (More comment in Guestbook below)
There is much to enjoy in/around Estepona, ranging from sun-drenched beaches to watching the world go by in quaint town squares, countryside walking and other outdoor sports/activities, depending on the season. Explore the "old town", take a pleasant stroll around the marina, or watch the fishing boats land and auction their catch at the old port.
This part of the coast boasts 320 days sunshine a year.
Favoured beaches from the villa would be Casares (west), El Cristo - a lovely, sheltered cove (east), and La Rada, off the town's colourful seafront promenade (a nice stretch for jogging). Chiringuitos, or beach bars, are open summer days/evenings and serve very good food.
Excellent restaurants, offering international-style menus and traditional fare at very affordable prices.
Boating and water sports are advertised at the marina. So are sea fishing trips. Estepona has an impressive Equestrian Centre, and horse riding is available in the area.
Evening entertainment ranges from tapas and music bars to live Jazz and Flamenco.
Many modern shops, but street markets also attract strong interest from locals and tourists: held at Estepona port and nearby Sabanillas on Sundays, and in the town on Wednesdays.
