Situated just minutes from the beach, the house is in a quiet residential street with some views of the sea! On four floors, it is ideal for a large family or party gathering with spacious reception rooms and easy walks to the beach.
Ramsgate has much to offer with a cliff top promenade, long sandy beach - ideal for a bucket and spade holiday, yacht marina and historic town itself. Nearby Broadstairs has a great range of trendy shops and boutiques. There is a snooker/pool table, games, DVD's and videos there to entertain all. The house has broadband. Dogs are welcome.
A real feature of the house is the sunny, south west facing sitting room with balcony and partial sea views. In the winter this room has a cosy coal effect gas fire and with banks of sofas would be ideal for any gathering. All the bedrooms are spacious doubles and there is plenty of space for everyone. The courtyard garden is a real oasis of calm and an ideal spot to while away those evenings by the barbeque.

The front door leads into the long hallway that runs from front to back of the house. The ground floor sitting room is a lovely light and sunny room with seating grouped around a ( non working) fireplace and TV/ DVD. An archway leads into the dining room with seating for 10. The table converts into a snooker/ pool table.
The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, two fridges, freezer,microwave and range cooker with electric oven and gas hob. A step down leads to the back lobby, shower room and separate utility cupboard with washing machine and dryer. The back door leads to courtyard garden with lighting for evening use, a table comfortably seating 8 people and a shed with space for cycle storage.
Stairs lead to the first half landing, with Bedroom 3 - double bed, fitted cupboard with basin. There is a separate cloakroom on this floor.
Up the stairs again to the first floor where there is a second double room with king size double bed and a basin. The spacious and welcoming main sitting room is also on this floor. This sunny room has large sofas grouped around the coal effect gas fireplace, TV, DVD, video and stereo and one of the sofas is a double sofabed. and the sunny balcony has lovely views towards the sea.
Stairs from the first floor lead to the second half landing with bathroom comprising, bath with hand held shower, walk in shower, wash hand basin and WC. Going up again to the second floor there is the main bedroom – a sunny, spacious room to the front of the house with plenty of fitted wardrobes and a super king bed- which can be split into two single beds. (Please specify at the time of booking if you wish this bed to be made up as a double or two singles). The fourth double bedroom is also on this floor. It has a large freestanding wardrobe and a super king bed- which can also be split into two single beds. This is an ideal house for a special occasion or a large family group with two sitting rooms, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor.
Local activities in and around Ramsgate, South East
Ramsgate was a fashionable seaside resort in the 18th and 19th centuries .It is now a truly English seaside resort with elegant Georgian terraces, ice cream parlours, cafes, pubs, bars, restaurants and fish and chip shops. Royal Harbour with its yacht marina, fishing port and maritime museum adds a dash of nautical colour and the long but sheltered sandy beach is ideal for a bucket and spade holiday. Some of the beach is available to dogs, even in the summer. In addition at the other end of the town, the new port facilities include a car ferry to Belgium, sea fishing and water sports, making this an ideal destination for a weekend break. All the amenities of this historic town are within walking distance of the house.
For a change of scene, Broadstairs with its quaint winding streets, coffee shops and sailing club is a two mile drive or a 45 minute walk along either the cliff top promenade between the two towns or, at low tide, the beach. In addition there is a wonderful selection of medieval castles dotted all along the coast to explore and visit.
For the golfer there is a good range of links golf courses within easy reach including the championship courses of Sandwich (10 miles) and Deal (15 miles).
