Casa Amoreira is a beautifully decorated modern house. It lies off the beaten track in the Eastern Algarve close to the beach (3km) and only 10 min drive from the charming old town Tavira. The bright and sunny house has a spacious lounge/dining room and sleeps 4 to 5 people in 2 bedrooms. Casa Amoreira is surrounded by citrus orchards in a calm and rural environment -Ideal for families with children.
If you need more space you can book the little attached house (30m²) the other side of the staircase (see rental notes below). Our 'CASINHA' is a simple but lovely decorated appartment for max. 2 people with own kitchen and bathroom. So you can spend your holidays with family members or friends in two seperate units and still have your privacy. Please see the additional fotos to have an impression. This appartment is not available for other guests. Only the land lady stays here sometimes to maintain house and garden.
Casa Amoreira (90 m²) is very bright and sunny with big windows (and shutters if needed). There is a nice terrace in front of the house with barbeque where you can have breakfast or just sit in the sun and relax. You can also use the small roofterrace upstairs for sunbath. This is also a great place to sit in the evening and have a glass of wine. The stunning view from house and terraces is to the west, over citrusorchards and the hills of the hinterland where you can watch the most beautyful sunsets.
The first floor is not for rent. Exclusivly for our guests beauty treatments and massages can be booked with Birgit, who is an esthetician. These treatments are carried out in the first floor of Casa Amoreira. But otherwise this room is not in use nor open for other guests during your stay.
Casa Amoreira is ideal located to explore the white long sand beaches and the Ria Formosa Park of the eastern algarve. You should also visit the charming historic town of Tavira, the typical fisher town Olhao (best fish market) and the wonderful unspoiled hinterland. Although so calm and rural, the house is central (with good access) and is perfectly situated for any trips to the surrounded area.
Nearest airport is Faro (30 min drive away), next nearest are Seville (2 hrs) and Lisbon (3 hrs). A hire car is suggested (we can arrange car hire for you on request).

Rental Notes: We require 50% of the total price as a deposit, to be paid within two weeks of reservation. We will acknowledge arrival of funds by email and on payment of the balance, up to one month prior to arrival, we will send the driving instructions by email.
Cancellation refunds: Up to 8 weeks – no cancellation charge. 4-8 weeks – 50% of rate refunded. Less than 4 weeks – no refund.
Arrival and departure days are flexible, though we aim to keep bookings close if possible.
Note: The little house (=CASINHA, sleeps 2) can be rent for 200Euros per week, but always only in combination with the big house. That way you can share your holiday together with other family members or friends in two units.
