In 6 acres of grounds including herb garden, parterre, meadow and woodland walk down to the River Eden, the castle retains the authenticity of the 16th Century with the added comforts of 21st century living (including underfloor heating) and makes ideal holiday accommodation for a family break, golfers or for families requiring an impressive venue for a special occasions.

With it's Great dining Hall and superbly painted murals and designs - Dairsie offers a unique castle experience. Carefully restored from a virtual ruin as a family home between 1993 and 1996 this historic site once housed the earlier Scottish Parliament in 1335 and has been visited by royalty (James VI and I escaped here in 1583). An immpressive and ecclectic mix of works of art, sculptures, carvings and antique furniture help to give the interior a grand yet intimate atmosphere. The top floor spanning the entire length of the castle is a picture gallery for the enjoyment of guests.
Built over four floors. There are three towers housing the sleeping accommodation and bathrooms.
First Floor: Entrance Hallway, Great Dining Hall with table to seat 12 - impressive fireplace with wood burning stove, comfy sofas, flagstone flooring and views to upper gallery.
Kitchen - opens onto the dining hall well equipped with aga and gas cooking facilities, Utility Area and Pantry.
Gallery Mezzanine level: Double Bedroom, En-suite bathroom and shower.
Second Floor: Master / Family Bedroom - an enormous room with King sized four poster bed and two smaller "Scotch double" sized four poster beds, attractive wall murals and wood burning stove, En-suite bathroom with cast iron bath, Double Bedroom, En-suite bathroom. Family Sitting Room - wide screen tv, comfy sofas.
Third Floor: Art gallery, Shower Room.
South Caphouse: Bedroom - two single beds.
North Caphouse: Bedroom - single bed.
Outside: 6 acres of grounds, Herb garden, parterre, meadow and woodland walk down to the River Eden, Walled courtyard with viewing tower.
Covered garage for two vehicles.
