It is surrounded by a half acre walled garden that is both private and secure with gated entrances. This five bedroom property sleeps 12 with ample space, cots for infants can also be provided.
The local villages of Perignac and Montils are minutes away for all amenities (supermarkets, cafes / restaurants, bars and bakeries). The market cities of Saintes with its incredible Roman architecture and Cognac the home of brandy are only 15 minutes away both situated on the banks of the Charente river which is world famous for its fishing.
The imposing medieval town of Pons lies to the south and offers golf and many sports amenities can be found close by.
Slightly further afield lies the coast, both family friendly and world famous surf beaches can be found here, the beautiful port of La Rochelle and surrounding islands are a must. Bordeaux and its famous vineyards are to the south and with the Dordogne on its doorstep the Chateau is ideally placed to explore this region.

"Don't want to go home! We have had a very relaxed holiday so far. The Chateaux is wonderful, not only to look at but to be in. Its very peaceful here, particularly the gardens. We have been down to the lovely sandy beach of Saint George's, and had the biggest ice creams you've ever seen. Went to the Aquarium in La Rochelle yesterday - wow!!!. Not too long before going home :( but we have loads to fit in before we go. We hope to be back for more. Thank you for a lovely holiday. See you soon.
