Malaga is a wonderful city and is a port of call for many of the ships cruising the Med. . The birthplace of Picasso, the Picasso museum holds may great works of art and that alone is worth a visit. Add to that the imposing cathedral and there is much to see.
In addition you have La Alcazaba, a major landmark in the area dating back to 700 although much of the structure belongs to the 11th century. From the top of the walls, do not miss the very attractive view over the town and the port. Finally, make the most of your visit to the fortress by going to the archaeological Museum, the Roman Theatre and the Gibralfaro Castle.
The Costa del Sol has a wonderful mediterranean climate, warm winters and hot dry summers. A day without sunshine is a rarity here and even in the winter on average temperatures are well above the norm for northern Europe. The Coast itself is world famous attracting the rich and famous from all over the world.
