Set in the peaceful rural hamlet of La Gueriniere, close to the old village of Beaulieu sous La Roche, The Village of Art, with its shops, bars, & restaurant.
If it is a quiet relaxing holiday you want, then look no further. For the more active it is an ideal location for walking, cycling, golfing & horse riding. There is something to suit everyone whithin a 20 to 30 minute drive.Whether it is the town of La Roche Sur Yon, the beautiful sandy beaches, ports & marinas, Chateaux's or other tourist attractions.
We are also within 20 mins of Les Sables D'Olonne, starting point of the Vendee Globe round the world yacht race. Marina village opens Sat Oct 18th, Race commences Sun Nov 9th 2008.

Le Petit Logis is ideally situated for the numerous holiday attractions the Vendee has to offer. For the more active there is an abundance of cycle/walking tracks starting within a 100 yards of the property,(maps are provided for your use). Most local attractions are within a 20 minute drive - there are 2 golf courses, the beautiful leisure lake and Chateau at Apremont, Lake Jaunay- ideal for walking and cycling and the very popular trendy resort of Les Sables D'Olonne with it's numerous bars and restaurants, which overlook the golden sandy beach on one side and the marina on the other, also a popular location for shopping. It is also the starting point of the Vendee Globe yachting race. Boat trips & fishing trips also depart from here.
Take the ferry from Fromentine and visit the lovely island of Ile D'Yeu, and when back on the mainland drive across the causeway between Barbatre and Beauvoir sur Mer (tides permitting).
A visit to Le Grand Parc at Puy Du Fou is a must, where you will find attractions to suit all tastes. The evening shows are the largest outdoor Spectacular in the world, and famous throughout France.
Take a leisurely boat ride through the canal network of the Marais Poitevin, or visit the famous castle and it's attractions at Talmont-St-Hilaire. An aperatif in the lovely marina at Bourgenay is always an enjoyable end to the day.
La Gueriniere is situated on the (D42) 2 km from Beaulieu sous La Roche towards the village of Martinet. We are also approx 10 minutes from the town of Aizenay.

Rental Notes: Le Petit Logis is open all year round and price is negotiable for long term lets and weekend breaks. Normal changeover is Saturday to Saturday arriving at 1500hrs departing at 1000hrs. This can be negotiable for out of season bookings. If you are coming over house hunting and need some help then we provide a house seekers service, please e-mail us for further information.
Also we provide a shopping service so when you arrive after a long journey you will not have to worry about where the nearest supermarket is, just sit and relax in the garden, make yourselves at home with a nice cup of tea or even better a cold beer and a glass of wine.
