Located in the heart of the Valley Loire, the château stands within its own moated courtyard garden, surrounded by 180 acres of grounds, including the 18 hole golf course and fishing lakes. A fortress was originally built on the site dating back to the middle ages, in the 16th century the château was reconstructed and extended again in the 17th century.
This 3 storey spacious home offers you modern, comfortable accommodation, but still retaining its originality. The formal dining & drawing rooms are elegantly proportioned between the original 13th century grand oak staircase. With 7 luxury newly refurbished bedrooms with ensuite, situated on the 1st & 2nd floors. Relax in the 2nd floor music room with its magnificent vaulted oak beamed ceiling, grand piano and deep sofas, leading out through the patio doors onto the roof terrace with views over the golf course and the rolling countryside.
The Château is the perfect rural retreat for family, friends and group of golfers.
If you enjoy golf the chateau is perfectly situated, overlooking Les Dryades 18 hole golf course. Designed by architect Michel Gaynon, measuring 6,120m, par 72, a challenging course, boardered by trees and wooded areas, with 16 lakes and 51 bunkers. To brush up on your stroke before you play, there is a covered driving range, practice greens, lessons are available individually or as a group.
The pro shop sells a selection of goods. Golf clubs and carts are available for hire. The club house bar & restaurant serves lunch during the spring and summer months. Green fees are offered to our guests staying at the chateau for 28.00€uros per person per day this rate covers weekday & weekend play.

The village of Pouligny Notre Dame is within walking distance of the chateau, with grocery store, newsagents, post office, hairdresser & garage (with car hire). The local restaurant/bar lunch menu offers a classic buffet & Plat du Jour, in the evening you can choose from the a la carte menu.
With its contemporary style and stunning views across the Valley Loire the gastronomic restaurant at Les Dryades resort is the perfect place for fine dining. At the weekends relax in the cocktail bar with its oversized sofas and listen to the sounds of Jean Jacques the resident pianist. The restaurant is open 7 days a week for lunch & dinner, with set and a la carte menus for you to choose from.

In the hamlet of Ligny is a 10 acre communal carp fishing lake. 2 festivals are held at the lake in the months of June & July. The commune of Pouligny puts on an excellent firework display for the July 14th celebrations.

The old market town of La Chatre (10 minutes drive) which plays host to the Tour de France, the Paris-Dakar Rally and various other sporting events throughout the year. Here you will find a good selection of restaurants & bars, supermarkets, banks & shops. The Saturday morning market has a variety of produce, including some excellent local cheeses and organic foods.
Within a short walk from the chateau sits the 4 star 'Les Dryades' golf resort & spa. At the resort you have full access to the spa facilities which includes indoor/outdoor swimming pools, saunas, jacuzzi, salt water pool, fitness centre & tennis courts. Green fees are offered to our guests staying at the château at a reduced rate.
