  This mid terrace stone-built house with its original black leaded range fireplace is in a central location to explore the many delights of one of the friendliest counties in England. The bustling little seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. Near sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle and charming Alnwick with its castle and award winning gardens are both within easy reach.

Amble is a traditional fishing port with a modern marina and interesting seafront, with the coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty beginning just north of the town. The coastline embraces Warkworth Castle, which towers over the picturesque streets of Warkworth, noted for its arts and crafts, while nearby Alnmouth boasts superb sandy beaches and the historic Foxton Golf Course. Picturesque Craster, renowned for herring fishing and world famous Craster kippers lies nearby. Walk or cycle a mile north to ancient Dunstanburgh Castle, perched high above the rippled sands of Embleton Bay and last occupied during the War of the Roses. A 15 minute drive away is Alnwick Garden and Alnwick Castle, famous among Harry Potter fans as the setting for Hogwarts. Don't miss Alnwick's 'Barter Books' either, one of the largest second hand bookshops in Europe.

A deposit of £100 per wk or £75 per short break is payable on booking Confirmation will be sent by post or e-mail upon receipt of this deposit. The balance of the cost of the holiday is due six weeks before you arrive. (Or the full amount if the arrival date is in less than 6 weeks).

We receive your completed booking form (following a provisional reservation by telephone) and payment of the deposit by cheque. We normally run Saturday to Saturday but are flexible. Arrival and departure times are 2.00pm and 10.00am but again we can be flexible. The owners are located nearby and therefore on hand if there are any queries arise. A detailed welcome pack is provided on arrival.
