The small village of Slad, immortalised by Laurie Lee in Cider with Rosie, boasts stunning views, a choice of great walks and one of the best pubs in the Cotswolds, The Woolpack Inn.
The Old Chapel, built in 1860 and thoroughly renovated in 2008, provides contemporary, stylish and very comfortable holiday accommodation.

Local Cotswold villages to visit include Painswick, Bisley, Nailsworth, Tetbury. The Regency town of Cheltenham, famous for its festivals, is 12 miles away, and the Roman town of Cirencester is 15 miles.

Painswick Rococo Garden
