Aspenwood cottage has been equipped to a very high standard and enjoys a four star Quality Assured award from Visit Scotland. The cottage has three bedrooms which sleep 5 comfortably comprising of one master bedroom with kingsize bed,one twin and one single. The master bedroom has en-suite double shower and access to a private decking offering panoramic views of the world famous Loch and the mountains opposite.
All bedrooms have ample wardrobe space, bedside tables with radio alarm clocks and new relaxing uplighter lamps with reading lamps. The master bedroom enjoys a Digital Panasonic 37" flat screen plasma T.V. with an HDD/DVD unit. The twin and single bedrooms have wall mounted Digital 20" Toshiba flat screen T.V.s
There is a good size separate bathroom with bath/shower over bath,W.C., wash basin. The open plan Kitchen/Dining area has a laminate tiled floor and three large windows all looking onto Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle. The Kitchen is fully equpped and is furnished with a Neff electric oven & Hob and a Miele integrated Dishwasher,Panasonic Microwave and Miele Fridge/Freezer. An oak dining table and chairs complement the dining area with a wall mounted DigitalToshiba 20" T.V. viewed in the dining area.
The spacious lounge has a very comfortable three piece suite, various coffee tables and a Broadband connected Computer free for guests use. A Digital Panasonic 37" Flat screen plasma T.V. with HDD/DVD unit. CD player. A good selection of DVDs and CDs along with an extensive library of books.
A 9 foot wide panaoramic window offers outstandng views over Loch Ness and a door leading onto the private decking where chairs and table are situated. A separate laundry/drying room is situated at the rear of the cottage housing the Washing machine-Tumble dryer & Boiler. An open plan garden/forest area surrounds the cottage with garden furniture for guests comfort. Birds, red squirrels, deer, pheasants, badgers & pine marten inhabit the surrounding area.

Local activities in and around Loch Ness, Highlands & Islands
Take a tour round Loch Ness stopping at Fort Augustus and Urquhart Castle / Loch Ness Exhibition Centre and take in Inverness City.
Take a cruise on Loch Ness. Visit the Black Isle and view the Dolphins at Chanonry Point and the waterfalls at Fairy Glen. Nearby is Loch Ruthven RSPB Reserve to see Slavonian Grebes and Ospreys.
Boat of Garten Osprey Centre also worth a visit. Ben Nevis is a short drive from Aspenwood. The Funicular Railway at Aviemore is just an hours drive and well worth a visit.
Day trips to Skye, Ullapool,Inverewe Gardens,Glen Affric can be enjoyed along with various Castle visits. In the summer there are Highland Games throughout the area. The seaside town of Nairn is only an hour away and Cawdor Castle is close by.
If you want a break from driving there is the Farigaig Forest right on your doorstep with various marked walks for all ages. Just a stroll down a grass track from Aspenwood cottage brings you to a wee shingle beach where you can dip your toes in the cool waters of Loch Ness....or fish for Brown Trout!
Aspenwood is located on the quiet South side of Loch Ness in the tranquil village of Inverfarigaig. Full directions to the cottage are given when full payment has been received and receipts sent.
