Badgers Holt is a deluxe 4 STAR self-catering cottage, one of eight similiar cottages set high up on a hill-top boasting one of the most impressive far reaching views in the area. The landscape unfolding in front of you takes in the rolling undulating hills of the South Hams with the majestic heights of Dartmoor and her tors balanced in the distance. Watching the sunset over this glorious scene literally takes your breath away!
Although set in a beautiful rural location, a heavenly oasis of 42 acres of woodland and pasture, reached by a half mile private track, local amenties are only 2 miles away and a 15th Century Old Devon Longhouse serving good pub food is just 0.5 miles away - a few minutes walk away from the members only leisure centre featuring indoor heated swimming pool, learner pool, sauna, steam room and gym. All of our guests become members of this facility and have free unlimited access throughout their stay.
We offer you the chance to taste some delicious local Devon produce on your arrival, by pre-selecting a personalised hamper. Our 'Taste of Devon' scheme gives you the opportunity to sample some of the regions favourite foods & beverages.
The garden field has three brick built BBQs and ample seating for alfresco dining, the children can occupy themselves at the two outdoor play areas with trampoline, many ball sports and swings and slide.
Badgers Holt has one double bedroom and one king-size double room which has the flexiblity of becoming a twin if required, a third child can be accommodated on a put up bed. The bathroom is large and spacious, newly fitted with bath with shower attachment and separate large corner shower, an exposed 2 foot stone wall in this room and in other parts of the cottage add true character. A lovely designer kitchen, fully equipped, dining area to seat six plus a relaxing reading corner with natural light. Light, airy lounge seating five. Plus some great pieces of local Art.
