The house has 5 bedrooms (2 kings, 2 twins and a small, child's bedroom), a spacious oak-floored open plan living area with a wood-burning stove and sliding glass doors to the balcony overlooking the lake, modern fully fitted kitchen and dining area and three bathrooms (two en-suite).
Goose Nest House is situated in the award-winning 450 acre Lower Mill Estate private nature reserve in the Cotswold Water Park. Boasting 7 lakes, meadows, walks, fishing and boating on your doorstep the house provides the ideal location for you to get away from it all with family and friends.

Goose Nest House has been furnished to the highest standard. From the solid wooden beds with luxury mattresses, Egyption Cotton sheets and fluffy white towels to the oak dining table and glass fronted sitting room overlooking the lake, we have equipped the house to ensure you have a relaxing break.
For families we have tried to think of everything that busy parents might want when they are away from home - as well as the usual travel cot and highchair, we have included stairgates, sterliser, blender, potty, bath mat, children's cutlery and toys so you can travel light when you stay.
The Lower Mill Estate has a small shop where, as well as groceries, you can pre-order your newspaper and freshly-baked croissants for breakfast which you can enjoy sitting out on the balcony overlooking the lake.
There is plenty to do on the estate - the Spa has slate-lined heated indoor and outdoor pool or, if you are brave enough an unheated eco-pool (in the summer) where you can swim amongst the lillies. Or you could pamper yourself in the sauna or steam room or treat yourself to a full body massage.
There is a children's playground, trampoline, a tennis court and plenty of walks around the lakes, using the hides that are dotted around to view the birds or spot the otters. As guests of Goose Nest you could fish on the lake or boat on the lake.
Within the Cotswold Water Park there is golf, riding, fishing, waterskiing and sailing all within five minutes' drive.
The historic town of Cirencester, in Roman times the second biggest town in England, is now a thriving market town with farmers' markets and the `Cathedral of the Cotswolds`. Many of England's famous chocolate box villages, such as Bourton on the Water and Fairford, are in easy driving distance. Or you could travel further afield and visit Bath Spa, Bristol and Oxford in less than an hour.

Goose Nest House is first floor living - bedrooms on the ground and second floor. The balcony on the first floor runs the length of the house and has a 3ft high glass front which is safe for children.
Local activities in and around Cirencester, South West
The Cotswold Water Park is just 20 minute's drive from the M4 and M5 Motorways but you would think you are in a different world with its magnificent lakes - used for fishing, sailing, waterskiing, wind surfing or just walking!
The Lower Mill Estate has the Thames running through it, just three miles from its source which you can walk along on the Thames Path which runs all the way to the sea. Alternatively, you could follow it to the local pub - a staggering distance from Goose Nest.
A short car drive away are the honey coloured stone villages such as Burford and Lechlade and the historic town of Cirencester. Further afield, but within easy reach are Oxford, Bath, Bristol and Cheltenham.
Westonbirt Arboretum, Slimbridge Wild Fowl Centre and Cotswold Wildlife Park provide nature lovers with plenty to see and do.

Rental Notes: Bookings are taken for short-breaks (long weekends from Friday to Monday or mid-week from Monday to Friday) and weekly lets (usually Friday to Friday but we will take Saturday to Saturday requests in high season).
Price includes heating, electricity, linen, towels and access to the Spa.
Please note that there is some building work currently happening at a different lake at the Lower Mill Estate. Disruption is kept to a minimum, is not on Somerford Lagoon or by the Spa and is not close to Goose Nest and no works traffic passes the house or on the main estate, in addition, work does not usually take place over a weekend and does not affect the wonderful view from the house.
