This stunning cottage is spacious and tastefully furnished. It has its own private courtyard with flowers and seating and stands detached on the grounds of the owners' home with its natural pond where you can sit and watch the sun go down over glorious Dunmanus Bay. Just half a mile from Durrus village with its excellent grocery store, four bustling pubs, three of which serve food, and two restaurants.
At the head of Dunmanus Bay you are at the gateway to the spectacular Mizen and Sheeps Head peninsulars. There are options for enjoyable activities locally, with walking and cycle routes (cycle hire available), the famous West Cork Garden Trail. Take a boat trip from Schull to Cape Clear Island. While Bantry, six miles away, offers golf, cinema and the delightful Bantry House, heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room at the West Lodge Hotel.
The cottage is tastefully furnished with everything you will need for a truly relaxing holiday. Downstairs is a large living/dining room/fully equipped kitchen with its full size cooker, microwave, washer/dryer. Satellite TV, video, DVD, stereo/CD player. Bathroom with power shower and toilet.
Upstairs, there is a large bedroom with a six foot zip and link bed (which can be two full sized singles on request) with its wonderful memory foam mattress and 100% cotton bed linen helping to ensure a great night's sleep. On the landing there is an additional full size single bed. A Z-bed is also available.Electric blankets are available. Electricity and gas central heating at no extra cost. Travel cot, high chair, and stair gate available on request. Bike hire available, also Tom Tom sat. nav. for hire should you want to explore further afield.

The stairs are quite steep, hence I have said not suitable for the Elderly, however this is more precautionary than anything else.

Seal watching. Whale watching. Boat trips to Cape Clear Island. Sheeps Head walking and cycle routes. Fishing - shore and boat. Several golf courses including Championship course at Bantry. Bantry House with its concerts and recitals. Magnificent beach at Barley Cove, fifteen miles.

If you are feeling particularly energetic we have two light weight full suspension bikes for hire on a daily basis.
