Top Barn is an out building on the farm of Lae de Haut which sit on 19 acres of farm land, Top Barn has it's own private entrance and parking with views overlooking the village of Aramits with the Ski station of La Pierre st Martin and the mountains in the back ground. We now have a 3 Stars rating.
From the patio you enter the Top Barn through patio doors into a sitting area, here you can enjoy the superb views on the coolers days or nights. To your left is the entrance to bedroom 1, this has a double bed plus a single bed and an en-suite shower room with toilet and wash basin. To the right of the sitting room is the entrance to the lounge with seating, coffee table and a small dining and chairs for those board games. Also in the lounge is a T.V and D.V.D and portable C.D player for the patio.
Off the lounge is a large kitchen and dinning room, this has two matching tables and seating for 12 although the max for the Top Barn is 8 but it is possible to rent other rooms on the room only basis and it makes it possible for max of 12 to eat together; The Kitchen area comes with eye level oven, hob with 4 rings, microwave, fridge and toaster, plus all necessary for 12.
From the dining area the hall way leads to bedroom 2 with twin beds and bedroom 3 which has two areas one with a single bed and the other has twin beds making it suitable a couple with child. Bedroom 2 and 3 share the second shower room.
Out side the patio has two tables with 8 chairs for the B.B.Q and on a lower level in the garden is a large fenced decking area with sun lounges and B.B.Q. On site is an out door swimming pool, indoor Games area and outdoor childrens play area. Sorry no pets and no smoking in the buildings.

In the games area is table tennis, babyfoot, pool table and badminton.

Communal Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Balcony, Garden Furniture. Again the 10x5 mts outdoor pool has excellent views overlooking the valley. Overlooking the pool is a sitting area ideal for when it gets too hot outside and on those not so warm sunny days.

Smoking isn't allowed in the buildings. Elderly, its not age, the area is hilly, we are ourselves pensioners and we see older people than us passing us on the walks.
Local activities in and around Arette, Aquitaine/Dordogne
In our valley alone there are 32 marked walks and off road cycle tracks and some are on our door step. Wine Tasting routes. Approved cycling road routes used in the past in the Tour de France by the professionals and for the rest of the year you can use them with many well known Cols in pedalling distance. Fishing just 1 mile away. Horse riding from the next village. Lourdes is 45 miles. Just 3 Miles is the Trout farm, here you can hire rod for 3 Euros and the first fish comes free and Dad can have a drink at the Bar and keep an eye on the children from the terrace. Also we recommend the meals here but you do have to book. Skiing 17 miles and cross country skiing 13 miles.

5mins away is the aventure Parc and it is for all ages Dad; a plus bungee jump at the end (Optional)
We are 8 miles from Oloron St Marie, 20 miles to Pau and 17 miles from Spain. We can send you a map and directions once we know the direction you are coming from.

Rental Notes: Saturdays are our change over days but we can be flexable in most cases so please do ask as we know flights are cheaper in the week.
We try to have the Top barn ready for mid day and we do ask you to vacate the property by 10-30am on the day of departure to make this possible.
We do ask you leave the accommodation clean but if you require us to do the cleaning, please ask for details.
