La Ferme L'Abbaye is located in the lovely, tranquil french village of St Jean D'Aulps. The chalet has great alpine views and the large patio and garden is a perfect place to enjoy this area of outstanding beauty.
Flexible accomodation means that the chalet can be hired as one or as two spacious apartments ideal for both families and groups.
The chalet has been completely restored to a high standard in keeping with its orginal character. We hope you like what we have done with the chalet. We have tried to make it as comfortable and as practical as possible.
Our chalet, La Ferme L'Abbaye, is situated in the french village and ski resort of St. Jean D'Aulps, 6 km from the well known resort of Morzine and in the heart of the massive Portes du Soleil ski area. The chalet is very easy to reach being just over an hour's drive from Geneva airport.
From the chalet, it is just a short walk to the local shops in St Jean D'Aulps and just a swift 10 minute drive to access a number of ski stations. We find that the best ski bubble is at Lindaret which also has unending free parking too. This is one of the key lifts that takes you up into the vast Porte Du Soleil ski area, one of the largest interconnecting ski areas in the world! The smaller ski area at St Jean D'Aulps is ideal for beginners and is even closer.
La Ferme L'Abbaye offers a quieter and attractive french location for your holiday but with easy access to all the facilities.
The chalet itself sleeps 16-18 across 7 bedrooms, 2 fully equipped kitchens, 2 comfortable sitting room areas and 5 bathrooms! This allows large parties to spread out and have the children watching a DVD at one end with the adults having a quiet drink at the other. The apartments are divided by an external staricase. Each has its own access from the off road car park area.
The chalet can also be hired as two separate apartments. First floor apartment sleeps 10-12 comfortably in four bedrooms. The ground floor apartment sleeps 6 in three bedrooms.
Features include: Sauna available all year round. Spacious bedrooms and en suite bathrooms. TV and DVD player. Heated ski boot room. Laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Garden with swings. Fridge/freezer. Microwave. Dishwasher. Patio balcony (top apartment). Central heating. Private parking. All linen and towels provided. Please bring your own "outside" towels for lake etc. Shopping boxes available on arrival.

3 Double Bedrooms, 4 Twin Bedrooms. There is a very large family room with double and 2 singles. There are no beds in the sitting rooms! Lots of red gingham and plenty of soft furnishings in style of a typical french chalet.

5 Bathrooms. A good mix of baths and showers. There is plenty of hot water for that long soak at the end of the day.
Kitchen:
Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. There are two fully equipped kitchens. Additionally there is a heated boot room for all that wet ski stuff. Very handy for storing skis and boots too.
General:
Central Heating, House Linen, Towels Provided.
Dining:
There are two dining areas. There is a very long sociable table that can seat all of you.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, DVD, Board Games. There are colouring books and a rocking horse for the kids. Plenty of games if you have the energy after a good days skiing!
Outside:
Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. There is also a set of swings in the garden for the children! The garden is perfect for snowball fights too! The terrace is great for eating and drinking! Also to mention is the sauna - lovely!

In the summer, the region comes alive with mountain bikers, walkers and other thrill seekers! The area makes such an effort to make this a great place to spend a few weeks in the summer. The kids will not be bored!

Rental Notes: Change over is a saturday. Arrival is after 3pm and departure is 10am. Although, often these times can be flexible depending on bookings.
We can help with organising your ski passes and equipment ahead of your stay.
Shopping baskets are available too for your arrival. (Very handy when you are late and the kids are hungry).
High chairs and cots are available (at no cost).
