This 17th century Chateau de Camille sits 500 feet sea level on one of the beautiful plateaux of the Massif Central, Le Plateau de Mille Vaches. The Chateau de Camille is surrounded by breathtaking scenery of forests, mountains, and the beautiful Dordogne Valley. With accommodation for up to 16 adults and 6 children, it's a perfect venue for a castle vacation for a large group holiday. This is a very affordable and unforgettable holiday experience – the Chateau de Camille is full of atmosphere from the fireplaces to the Rapunzel tower. The grounds are safe; there is a dramatic fenced swimming pool, and plenty of space. The Chateau de Camille can also be used for corporate incentive groups, small gatherings, courses and workshops.

On the ground floor there is a wonderful dining room, with exposed beams and a stone fireplace. The modern kitchen seems to be a hub for the chateau guests. There is a large sitting room with fireplace, library, DVD and TV. There is also an elegant salon and playroom with a table tennis table and snooker table. There is a ground floor double bedroom and triple bedroom with adjoining WC. On the 1st floor there are six bedrooms, sleeping 11 people in 2 doubles and 7 single beds. 5 of the bedrooms are very large and many of the single beds are sleigh beds. Every room has its own atmosphere and lovely views. They are all furnished with original furniture that has been in the house for generations. There is a large bathroom on the stair landing with a roll top bath and wooden floors. There are 2 further bathrooms, one en-suite to the master bedroom. All the bathrooms have excellent showers & baths. There is one master bedroom with a bathroom en-suite, & 2 additional shared bathrooms. The Château de Camille is set in 32 acres of grounds in which one can soak up the sun and enjoy the sounds and sights of rural life. The grounds are made up of a large garden, the alarmed and fenced swimming pool (15x7m), wonderful fields, a stream and a small wood. There are spectacular views from all angles. At the rear of the chateau, there is a large grass terrace with refectory tables. Here you can enjoy meals in the shade of tall trees.

Cahors, Bergerac and Bordeaux wine regions are within easy reach. 1.5 hrs away is the Massif Central mountain range and its ski resorts, so it is possible to drive for a day’s skiing. There are plenty of market and fairs nearby! Limoges and Rodez are both 90km away and St Privat is a short 3km away which can be used to get the basic amenities.
Rental Notes: Security deposit: £500. This is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection. Linen & towels: All linen and towels are included in the rental price. Energy costs: Included in the rental price. End of stay cleaning: £100 paid on site. Arrival time: 4.30pm onwards. Departure time: 10.30am. Pets: Pets allowed. Smoking: No smoking in the property. It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
