Strand House has two beautifully appointed, well equipped and extremely comfortable non-smoking apartments available for use throughout the year - The Garden Apartment and The Crows Nest Apartment - each suitable for 4-6 guests.

The Garden Apartment on the ground floor provides direct access to our lawned garden through patio doors; Walk to the end of the garden, cross the road and you are on the beach...
Great for beach life, long walks (6 mile sandy beach and promenade continues to Appley and Seaview), lots of local amenities less than 5 minutes walk (bowling, ice-skating, mini-boating lake, pitch & putt) or Ryde's town facilities.
Also brilliant location for foot-passengers to the Island or those who would prefer to leave the car behind occasionally; particularly in the evening as its so easy to stroll into town for the many cafes, excellent quality bars and restaurants.
Local connections are all within easy reach of 5-10 minutes walking including Ryde bus and train station, Catamaran to Portsmouth.

Amenities within a couple of minutes walk include:
Heated swimming pool, Yacht Marina, Boating Lake, Tenpin Bowling, Kids mini fun fair, Ice Skating, Outdoor bowls, Trampolines, Pitch & Putt, Dotto Train to Appley Beach and Town Centre, Gymnasium, Café Bars.
Plus all the local services and shops including grocers, post office, laundrette, pubs, café, fish and chips takeaway and a Chinese restaurant/takeaway. Within 15-20 minutes you can easily walk into Ryde high street for shopping (supermarket, major banks, wine bars and cafes) and there is also a small cinema.
The major shopping centre for the Island is Newport, which is approximately 30 minutes drive.
Activity holidays:
We are ideally placed for those who want to bring a boat to sail from Ryde Harbour. In five minutes you could be exploring the Solent or even sail round the island for the day. There are also passenger fishing/day trips. Our apartments are also ideal for walkers and cyclists - take the train from Ryde to Sandown/Shanklin or the Island bus service to get to your chosen start destinations. Cycle hire is available from many nearby places and the Island has its own cycling and walking festivals. There are seven golf courses on the island and the nearest at Westridge is approximately 2 miles away.
From Fishbourne ferry, B3339 (Fishbourne lane), A3054 to Ryde. (Exact directions available with booking information).
From the end of Ryde Pier take a taxi or walk 15-20 minutes.
