The area is also fabulous for children with the Aquarium, Imax cinema, zoo, chocolate museum, cable car ride across the port to the Montjuic Hill, bicycle hire, Ciutadella Park and the beach all within a short walk for short legs!
Fly to Gerona with Ryanair and excellent shuttle bus to Barcelona (19 euros return).
