Within a few minutes walk from the house one will be in Union Hall. Union Hall is an unspoilt, largely, undiscovered location, a haven of peace and tranquillity and a place where you can get away from it all. Yet it is the most sociable place on earth with such a strong sense of community, theres always something to do.
Union Hall is a small fishing village that becomes alive during the Summer time. It has 2 well renouned restaurants and 4 lively pubs. The village is a well known picture on postcards of Ireland. Fish can be bought in the local fish Co Op that has been caught that day.
Located in the heart of West Cork, day trips to the islands of Cape Clear, Sherkin and Heir Island are within 15 Km drive away to Baltimore where one would get the ferry. The popular towns of Skibbereen, Rosscarbery, Baltimore, Bantry and Clonakilty are all nearby
Day trips to Kerry are also possible as Union Hall is just an hours drive to Kenmare.
