The view from the Chateau de Rivehaute is magnificent and provides a vista of the Pyrenees mountain range. The 5.6 acres of grounds accommodate wonderful gardens, 100 year old trees and a private swimming pool. Situated only 45 minutes south of Toulouse it is ideal for family gatherings or indeed any celebration!
The Chateau de Rivehaute is hugely spacious and the 14 bedrooms are spread over 600m2. The property has been recently renovated and will comfortably accommodate up to 30 guests in lavish surroundings.
On the ground floor you can relax in historic splendour in the huge living room; enjoy the wall painted by the resident artist Jules de Lahondes in 1850; or, simply warm yourself by the stone fireplace sculpted using the coats of arms of the family Lahondes and Exea. An impressive and inviting dining room is great for parties and offers refinement of its woodwork and wonderful box ceiling.
On the first floor there are 4 double bedrooms, a single bedroom and 2 bathrooms. On the second floor there are 5 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The tower has an additional 2 double bedrooms.
The private parkland of 2.5 hectares has many 100 year old trees, a private swimming pool with security system, a ping-pong table, a BBQ and 100 iron chairs that can be used for weddings at Chateau de Rivehaute.

The nearest airports to Chateau de Rivehaute are Toulouse and Carcassonne which are both 50km away. The local town of Pamiers is 3km away for all your essentials. At the foot of the Pyrenees, Pamiers, is a paradise for hiking enthusiasts. It is a wonderfully charming town and contains half-timbered houses encircled by canals. The second hand market every Sunday morning in the main square is not to be missed! Also on offer are short walks, bathing waterfalls, water sports, fishing, hunting & skiing.
The nearby towns and villages including Carcassonne, Toulouse, the medieval Mirepoix, Chateaux Cathares & Montsegur are all well worth a visit. La Bastide de Serou, in front of the mighty Pyrenees, is great for golf and tennis. Local produce is available at the markets of Pamiers, Foix or Mirepoix.
