Beautifully restored barn within the Peak District National Park. In a very tranquil location, this self catering cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all, peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. Set in its own acre of woodland with streams, waterfalls and a formal garden it's a nature lovers paradise. You will be able to observe the birds, animals and the wild flowers all from the windows or by wandering through the cottage's own grounds. About half a mile out of the picture postcard hamlet of Ford you are treated to uninterrupted views of the rolling hills and the rare pleasure of no traffic noise at all, just the sheep! All this tranquility and yet its just a short drive to the best attractions the Peak District has to offer and the excitement of Alton Towers.

The Cottage is a tastefully renovated dairy which has been converted into three large en-suite bedrooms, each with original oak beams and 2 with exposed stone. The ground floor bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room, this room is perfect for the for those not keen on stairs as there are just 2 small steps into the room. Upstairs is the double bed room with en-suite bathroom and room for the travel cot we supply if needed. Across the landing is the twin room with en-suite shower. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need. The spacious and comfortable lounge has a new three & two seater leather sofa as well as a selection of DVD's, games and a lot of information on the area and maps. The cottage makes an ideal vacation and is well catered for families or groups of adults will find it equally appealing.

2 Double Bedrooms, 1 Twin Bedroom. We sleep 6 but we have a zed-bed making it 7. This is ideal for a child and is available in either the double or twin room upstairs, plus a travel cot for a baby.
Bathrooms:
1 Bathroom, 2 Showers. Each bathroom has a hand soap dispenser, with Ecover hand soap. Downstairs bathroom attached to double room, good for the elderly.
Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. Access to a fenced off (for children's safety) acre of woodland with two streams with waterfalls. Perfect for exploring.

Smoking is allowed outside the cottage.
One double bedroom on ground floor is perfect for elderly or infirm as it has two small steps.

Set in the Peak District National Park, you are spoilt for choice, from spectacular walking on hills and dales (direct from the door) to the magnificence of Chatsworth House & Tissington Hall. Exploring the market towns of Bakewell, Buxton, Ashbourne & Leek. Or you could pick up some local fair from the many Farm shops and enjoy the cottage and its garden. There is a BBQ, garden seating and a sun umbrella for your use. Or for the more adventurous there is rock climbing, mountain biking and the thrills of Alton Towers all very close by.
