Located in 'The Roseland Peninsula', one of Cornwalls most sought after destinations, Porthscatho is renowned for its delightful harbour and sandy cove which are but a moment's walk from the cottage. Dormer Villas is a lovely holiday home with many character features and provides all the necessary ingredients to ensure you stay will be relaxing and enjoyable. Comfortably furnished the cottage provides 4 bedrooms, 2 of which are ensuite. A garden with a wet room is ideal for those summer days returning from the beach.
A cottage of real character in the heart of Portscatho is the best way to sum up Dormer Villas. Charming but practical and full of character, the cottage faces the village square and commands superb views out to the sea; indeed, three of the four bedrooms provide elevated outlook to Nare Head and Gull Rock. Once a Sea Captains house, this is now a versatile holiday home. The kitchen is very well appointed and benefits from having a large informal dining area and a separate utility room with a Belfast sink. At the front of the cottage there is a large lounge with an open fire place. The dining room is a great place for a family meal and has a smart little wood burning stove.
To the rear there is an enclosed garden with plenty of lawn and mature boarders, the perfect spot to enjoy a barbecue on a summers evening. Hugely practical outside shower room and WC which will be ideal for washing down after a day on the beach. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, two of which are en-suite, and a particularly nice bathroom, having a high back roll top bath.
In the village square you will find 'Ralphs Cornish Delicatessen', well know and loved by regular visitors. Nearby you will find some of the most memorable villages in the county such as St. Mawes, St Just and Port Looe. Guests will also enjoy taking the King Harry Ferry to across the river Fal and will perhaps pay a visit to Truro or Falmouth. Guests may park at the property of load/offload and there is on road parking nearby.
