The Chateau de Meouil is spectacularly perched on a hilltop in the foothills of the French Alps. This dramatic chateau overlooks the famous lovely turquoise Lac de Castillon. The Chateau de Meouil enjoys 11 acres of private land, a large 14mx7m heated swimming pool and its own private beach on the Lake! The Chateau can host up to 16 adults and 2 children. The Chateau de Meouil was built in the 12th century by the Knights Templar as a fortress to protect the surrounding lands against pillaging Saracens. This is a superb villa in the South of France.

All 3 apartments, hosted within the Chateau, can cater for different sized parties, from the large Saint Jean that can host up to 8 guests, through the medium sized Saint Pierre that can host 6, to the cozy Saint Paul that is a perfect match for 4.
On the ground floor the Apartment Saint Paul which has a kitchen, a vaulted dining room/living room with 2 boat beds, SKY TV and DVD. There are 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms sleeping 4 guests. Apartment Saint Jean has a living room with French ceilings and a stone fireplace. There is a well equipped kitchen, living room (complete with bar and pool table and dining room table). There are 3 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms sleeping 6 guests. There is also an extra WC.
On the first floor the Apartment Saint Pierre has a kitchen, living room and dining room. There is another double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom sleeping 2 guests. There is a WC. Apartment Saint Jean is also found on the first floor where one can find a living room and a further bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
On the second floor is the Apartment Saint Pierre. There are 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms sleeping 4 guests. There is also a living space.
Outside you can enjoy 11 acres of private land, overlooking the Lake of Castillon. There are no neighbours so you have complete privacy. Enjoy the heated 14m x 7m swimming pool with adjoining pergola.

The castle is situated just 2km from the village of Saint André les Alpes. Nice, Cannes and Monaco are all within is 104km from the chateau!! There are great restaurants locally and in terms of activities, fish on the private lake and there’s horse riding and golf nearby to the chateau.
