South of the Loire, on a hilltop with far reaching views you will find the excellent Chateau Delony set in beautiful countryside, where it has stood for 900 years. The Chateau Delony has both medieval and Renaissance touches – the Chateau Delony is a heavenly home. The Chateau Delony has a superb swimming pool, private gardens and in its 5 magnificent bedrooms 14 guests can be accommodated. The Chateau Delony has internet access and under floor heating.

The Chateau Delony has 5 bedrooms, to allow for 14 guests.
On the ground floor there is a XIV century fireplace in the grande salle, salon with library, computer, TV & DVD and the modern kitchen. There is a dining room. Enjoy the magnificent oak beams throughout vaulted ceilings throughout. Utilizing the chateau’s stone spiral staircase, all 4 levels of the chateau can be accessed. There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor that share a bathroom and both have direct access to the west terrace with a lovely grapevine. Like all rooms in the Chateau, you will find tiles or old stones on the floor.
1st fllor there is a magnificent Renaissance fireplace in the master bedroom. From an anteroom, the solarium is the main bathroom and separate WC. The bathroom has a double sink, a Jacuzzi and a spacious shower. The moat can be accessed directly from this bathroom. With an entrance from the tower you will find the salon bedroom, which has twin beds, which is a fine beamed room with an elegant XIV century fireplace which has private access onto the circular north terrace. The salon also has its own sink and WC.
2nd floor is the main floor which comprises of the Grande Salle, kitchen and family room. Off the family room there is a fully equipped shower room. There is a double bed and extra beds and cots.
3rd floor loft room.
You will also have sole use of the heated pool giving you an all around view of the surrounding countryside. The large swimming pool, solar heated for a long period of the year, is fully compliant with French safety standards and installed with an infra red security system. We have a designated barbeque area on the north terrace which is very popular with our guests in the summer. For your enjoyment there is also croquet, badminton and table tennis. Walking and hiking is also very popular in close proximity to the chateau.

This small village has 5 houses and one Chateau. The Chateau is only one hour’s drive from the magnificent chateaux of the Loire Valley. The area in particular is well known for its goats cheese! Poitiers is 40km away, and La Rochelle 150km. A short drive away there is a spa where you can enjoy the healing waters just as the Romans did.
