One bed apartment, sleeps four. The apartment is located just 5 minutes walk from the beach, on the outskirts of the Portuguese holiday town of Armacao de Pera. It is situated in a quiet area and yet it is only five minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the promenade with its shops and restaurants. The Old Town is a lovely 10-15 minutes stroll either along the promenade or beach, with its narrow cobbled streets, shops and restaurants. The apartment benefits from a lovely decked communal pool, with a shallow end perfect for the children and sunbathing area.
Leading from the spacious living room through double sliding doors is a balcony with lovely sea views and a further door that leads onto the large terrace equipped with table, chairs and loungers and purpose built barbecue There is one large bedroom with 2 beds with zip and link mattresses and a double sofa bed in the living room, a fully equipped kitchen that also leads out to the terrace and good size bathroom.
The Algarve offers 160 km of gorgeous , golden, sandy beaches, rocky coves, clear watters rugged cliffs and enchanting grottoes. The south of Portugal was the last place to gain independence from the Moors in 1292, Conquered by King dom Afonso 111 and even today traces of the Moorish presence are visable in the unique terraces, chimneys and whitewashed villas.
Despite the obvious influence of tourism, a short drive inland reveals the ture algerve where life goes on much as it has for many centuries. This brightly coloured and verdant region is filled with orange groves, almond trees in blossom carob trees and fragrant pines as well as some cork farms which are still in operation today. For the sports enthusiasts the Algarve has ideal conditions and top class facilities; the golf courses are superb and have a highly prized reputation.Water sports are second to none with the West coast offering the best surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions. Above all, the Algarve is a childrens haven with several exciting water parks, Zoomarine sealife centre, horse riding centres and plenty of fun on the beaches! Whatever your preference, you will find your personal paradise in the Algarve.
Armacao de Pera has plenty of resturants, cafes, bars and shops. It is a popular place all year round Actiivities in and around the area include walking, golf, tennis, fishing, shopping at the Algerve Shopping centre in Guia, horse riding, snorkeling and diving, sailing, surfing- board and kite, jet sking and relaxing. There are water parks and zoo parks 2-5 km away with a huge aray of pools and slides also catering for young children .
Some of the Algarves finest golf courses are within 15 minutes drive away and many to the famous courses both east and west are within a 30 minute drive. The new luxury Amendoeira golf resort with tow championship courses designed by Nick Faldo and Christie O'Connor is due to open in 2008m is between 5-10 mins from Armacao de Pera.
