Being just 15 mins drive from Murcia airport where many low cost airlines fly the location is ideal with the historic towns of Murcia and Cartagena each being an approx 30 minute drive away. The inland city of Murcia known as the Baroque capital of spain offers a wealth of fine buildings with a magnificent cathedral, monastery, gardens and parks.
For those shopaholics Murcia is a haven with plenty up-market shops and department stores. Cartagena a coastal city was founded in pre roman times and has a large marina where a great deal of money is being invested restoring its beautiful buildings. If you visit during September there is a major fiesta where residents dress as Romans and Carthaginians and party well into the early hours!
The fabulous beach of Las Alcazares is a 20 minute drive which has been awarded the coveted blue flag of excellence coupled with the warm waters of the Mar Menor makes this a bathers delight. For the Golfers of you are right on the fabulous La Torre championship course which is a par 68 and a handicap is required. At present Polaris World are working on the Jack Nicholaus Golf Trail which will take in a total of 9 courses with a free shuttle service operating between them at peak season. 3 of the courses are up and running with a further 3 presently being developed and a further 2 at the design stage.
