A beautiful period barn conversion that has been sympathetically converted to provide a tasteful and unique holiday home. Brand new this year, Old Dairy has retained many original features and has high quality furniture, kitchens and bathrooms that are in keeping with the age of the property.
Old Dairy has a double connecting door opening into its neighbouring cottage, Cider Barn, so that they may be booked together for larger groups. These doors will be securely locked if not requested.
Living Information: Spacious open plan living area with a premuim black leather 3 seater sofa. Flat widescreen TV with FreeSky and DVD player. Double French doors out to private terrace with table and 2 chairs. Attractive galleried beamed ceiling. Wood burning stove. Stairways are all hand built in genuine solid wood with expensive handrails and balustrades. Connecting door from ‘Cider Barn’ Cottage if required (This will be locked unless requesting to use both properties). Wireless broadband is available for guests who bring their own laptops.
Kitchen: Each kitchen is fitted with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave. Utensils and crockery are plentiful and of good quality. A good range of modern units for plenty of storage.
Dining: Individually designed, hand made dining table and 4 chairs in natural timber.
Sleeping: Bedroom one Located on the ground floor the room is furnished with 2x 3ft zip and link beds arranged as 6ft double unless otherwise requested. Individually designed hand made furniture in natural timber including wardrobe, chest drawers and bedside units.
Bathroom: Bathroom comprises a bath and shower attachment over, wash basin and w.c.. Finished with luxurious travertine tiling and top quality fittings. Heated towel rail and a shaver point over basin.
Outside Information: Outside terraces are all natural sandstone and hardwood patio furniture with fences between for privacy. Set in the grounds adjacent to the property is a barbecue area and also a summerhouse where there is an internet connection and phone access. (Mobile phone reception is poor). Also in the summer house is a stock of games, DVDs and books. Each unit has one own parking space(s). There is also some additional visitor parking.

Chulmleigh is a picturesque village perched on a hill in the heart of the Devon countryside with panoramic views across the rolling hills and woodlands. The village itself has everything you need; from a convenience store, greengrocers and buchers to an Indian restaurant, Bistro and 3 cosy bars to choose from.
There are many activities and leisure facilities close by to ensure you have a fantastic holiday including fishing, walking, horse riding and golf. There is easy access to Crediton and Barnstaple just a 20 minute drive away and a further 10 minutes will take you to either the historic town of Exeter or the dramatic North Devon Coast.
Chulmleigh has one of the finest short 18 hole golf courses with views across the peaks of Dartmoor, the thatched cottages and Village Church with its beautiful tower. Or, why not take in the beautiful Devon countryside on horseback at Bold Try Equestrian Centre, or help you improve your riding skills in the outdoor school. The Chulmleigh link of the Tarka Trail is close by while the Little Dart Ridge, Valley Walk and Two Moors Way, are part of the national long distance footpath network.
